Special thanks to Resort World Genting for sponsoring this trip, where me, together with Chrispytine, Mint & Sylistic went for a 2D1N short getaway to Genting for the launching of the Balloon Art Festival, where Asia’s largest balloon sculptures can be seen over here!
*Thanks mint for providing some of the images here ;)*
You guys know i loved travelling right!? and i’m always excited to go on a overseas trip, be it short or long 😉 So, this trip came in just in time as i needa a short break badly, though i just went for my hong kong trip in may not long ago la~ haha~

ready to go! 🙂
*ps you will find korean and jap text in the images for this post as i just got the urge to do so.. haha especially with that cooling weather up there in genting and those clothings that we wore, it gave me the feeling that i’m actually in japan or korea 😛 (ok i sound crazy but, watever~)
stop by somewhere for food…
Long hours of bus journey… great if you have entertainment system on board 😉 but other than watching movies, i prefer to sleep… 😛
finally arrived at genting and was greeting by 2 extremely nice staff 😉 as there was a delay in our bus arrival timing which is supposed to be at 3pm, but we arrived at 5pm instead and these 2 staff actually waited for us at the bus terminal from 2 plus till we arrived leh! professional or wat?! impressive!
Checking in the rooms was fast as they’ve already did that for us upon our arrival. 😉
and here’s my room for the night… 2 single bed for myself. which one should i sleep on? mmm…. (ok i know this is lame… :P)
just wanna show you guys my CHIO phone which i’ve just gmasked the night before the trip myself! yes! myself~! (will upload the videos soon 😉 )
wash up and headed out immediately as i so wanna go enjoy the cooling breeze!!! its too freaking hot in singapore recently la~!

the hotel that we’ll be spending the night at…
loved these shots!!! 😀
saw those balloons?! it’s the Balloon Art Festival! one of the reasons why we are there as well. These balloons are created by well known balloon art sculptors from countries like japan, taiwan and italy.
bloggers at the opening event, together with mint’s mum and bf 😉
ready to “burst” the BIG balloon~ 🙂
Balloon fashion show.. seen that before?!
now tell me which is your favourite?! i think the white one and the black one quite nice leh~
and the main highlight of the night gotta be the performance by Tom Bibo, a international balloon sculptor from Belgium who’ve bagged titles in Belgium Balloon Art Champion 1999, winners of major competitions and starred in his own TV show “BOOH” in 2005!
And he created this huge puppy balloon sculpture…
If u think this is already quite big, it’s not actually as he created another LARGER and ENORMOUS puppy balloon sculpture after this! wanna see images of it? haha. it’s too big for my camera to capture it, so you gotta head down and see it LIVE for yourself!
Oh! and don’t miss out on the chance to attend his workshop for the kids at 2.30pm and 8.00pm after his stage demonstration 😉 Registration is based on a first come basis during the event period for the first 15 kids ;D!
The largest balloon ride! but only applicable for the kids la~
We had our dinner at the VIP lounge, where we get to mingle ard with the models and most importantly all the balloon artist and Tom Bibo 😉
These are balloon buttons !
Buffetlicious time! ;D
a group pic with tom bibo before we went back to our rooms…
Rest for awhile and headed out with christine to the casino but we didn’t managed to try our luck there… went for late night shopping as shops closes at 1am! not bad right?! there’s shops like espirit, adidas, cotton on and many many more!
The next day morning, we woke up kinda early for breakfast at 8.30 as we wanna spend more time at the theme park!
bloggers ready to go! 😉
With the 2 extremely helpful and hospitable interns 😉 Thank you for spending the time with us over there!
There are outdoor balloon sculptures as well 😉
it’s time for lunch!!! we had our buffet lunch at Coffee Terrance where they provide a WIDE variety of buffet spread to choose from! from japanese to western, chinese to peranakan and local delights, woohoo~ we are all spoilt for choices!!!
hahah~ very cool right?! LOLX 😀 always loved these pple whom respect us as a blogger…
Wonderful Lunch!!! 😀 wished my stomach can fill in more~~~ hahaha
after lunch we wanted to try out the indoor roller coaster but it’s under maintenance, so we decided to roam ard the place before we bid goodbye to genting and head back to singapore…
i looked sad as i couldn’t bear to leave the cooling weather in genting!!!
So, if you are looking for a short getaway to bring your kids out before the school holidays end, Genting is really a great place to head to! not only there’s lots of rides catering to the kids of different age groups, there’s the balloon art festival whereby kids can learn how to make balloon art ! I’m sure they gonna enjoy themselves!
