Yu sheng.. i guessed most of you ate that during the chinese new year right? and i’m sure most of u ate it for like more than once hor?! For me, i ate a total of 3 yu shengs this year, which i think isn’t alot as there are pple eating more than 10 yu shengs lo!
My first yu sheng was with my cousins during our dinner on chu san. not bad, quite nice.
actually in the past, i dun really like to eat yu sheng cos there is this ginger slices or taste in it and most of the time, i will just eat the crispy thingy… but dunno why, now i quite addicted to it… haha!
Second yu sheng was bought on chu 7, aka ren ri, whereby most pple will lao yu sheng on this day. So, my mum brought back home a pack and we lao together with my dad… 🙂
oh and have you heard of this tradition whereby the elderly pple will say that we have to eat 7 kinds of vegetables on this special day? my home practice this tradition and every year, on chu 7, we will have this 7 kinds of vegetables all mixed and stir fried together.. though i dun really like it as there’s celery in it! OMFG~! puke~
My third yu sheng was yesterday at my aunty place. We had STEAMBOAT!! wee~~~
Our yu sheng is AA grade one ok~ dun play play.. we got extra ingredients which is ABALONE!
oh, and how can we not have a game of mahjong leh~
