One of the best location to view the sunset in Bali, other than Tanah Lot, is the Rock Bar, located on natural rocks 14 meters above the Indian Ocean at the base of AYANA Resort and Spa Bali. This innovative open-top Bali bar is the island’s most glam sunset and after-dark destination that you should not miss.

Thought wearing singlets and board shorts is a very common dress code under the hot sun in Bali, do note that smart attire is required at all times. We reached there with our singlets and shorts, and was not allowed to enter the bar. So as to not waste our trip there, we each bought a tee from the souvenir shop at the resort.
There’s two options for you to go down to the bar. You can either walk your way down the stairs, or take the elevator which have a super long queue to it, with express lane given to AYANA resort guest only.

AS we are there to catch the sunset and is not ready to have dinner yet, we order a Popcorn Chicken, IDR100,000 to go along with our Lychee Iced Tea and Lime Passion Fruit Iced Tea, IDR90,000 each.

Sunset got to be the busiest period with the most no. of crowd at the bar.
Some areas are reserved for AYANA’s guests only, so we are considered lucky to be able to get a table for ourselves that evening.
