Banana Tree Cafe is a popular cafe chain in South Korea and is well known for their potted plant dessert presentation and the first outlet in Singapore was opened along Keong Saik Road in 2015. We passed by the store a few times and the interior and exterior did attract us to visit but it’s always the wrong time when we pass by as we’re too full from either lunch or dinner. However, we still managed to visit this cafe on a weekend night and try out the dessert offerings.
Despite being on a weekend, there isn’t much crowd and we are there’s only two tables filled when we arrived. Perhaps the craze had died down since we only visited the place one year later! haha~
Named as the Banana Tree Cafe, you might expect to find BANANAs in the cafe, but you’ll be wrong. We do not see any Banana in the cafe but the color theme was yellow and white. To be honest, I quite like the interior decor as the yellow pops out against the white brick wall which gives it a spacious space and the fairy lights brighten up the ceiling like twinkling stars at night.
We ordered the SOMSOM Latte which comes with a fluffy candy floss as well as the Mini Pot Bingsu which is one of the best seller in the cafe. In terms of the food, there’s nothing that really wow us or left a unique impression, but in general it’s not too bad and I supposed most are there for the photo opp you get with the food.
