Hotel Review: Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore

SINGAPORE – Dusit International, one of Thailand’s leading hotel and property development companies, has officially expanded into Singapore with the opening of Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore in the heart of the renowned Laguna National Golf & Country Club, one of Singapore premier golf and country clubs. We went on a 2D1N staycation in June, and here’s our review.

Getting There

If you are not driving, you can hop on to the free shuttle service from Jewel Changi Airport, or from the Expo MRT station. Do follow the schedule closely as they arrive on time.

Check-In

The check-In process was quite a smooth one. Being the first resort in the country to feature Dusit’s unique brand of Thai-inspired gracious hospitality, I almost mistook myself checking into a resort in Thailand! The staff was attentive and managed to clearly explain the things to look out for during our stay and explained to us the facilities available at the resort.

Rooms

The resort comprises 198 tastefully decorated contemporary rooms and suites, plus eight pavilions with private pools. We’re checked into the Deluxe Laguana Pool View Room, which exudes a residential charm with contemporary designs and furnishings. Tastefully furnished in cool and natural tones with opulent finishes.

For a true Thai experience, fresh coconuts are served as welcome amenities, and you can also find coconut water in the minibar too! What’s more, the in-room minibar is complimentary (except alcoholic beverages), and you can enjoy a free flow of sparkling water as well.

Facilities

One of the main highlights of the hotel is the swimming pools. One of Singapore’s biggest and best-appointed swimming pools, blessed with ample sunlight, palm trees and colourful flowers. There is a total of 3 pools available (Lap Pool, Relaxation Pool and Kid’s Pool).

Booking a time slot to access the pool is required, and you can do it through the form that will be sent to you via email. Alternatively, you can also make your bookings upon checking in, or via the Dusit Thani mobile app.

There is also a 369 square metre gym filled with cutting-edge cardio and weight resistance equipment that you can visit at any time of the day during your stay too.

Dining

There are a few dining options available at the hotel, from indoors to outdoors such as the Greenhouse all-day dining and Tee Deck alfresco pool bar and grill.

Waking up in the morning and step into Greenhouse, a lush, forest-themed restaurant for breakfast while enjoying the picturesque view over the golf course is something that all guests should look forward to. Check out the spread we have here! We highly recommend trying the Homemade Organic Bircher Museli with Yogurt, Apples, Strawberries and Almonds. It’s so good!

Stay with Confidence

To ensure guest safety at Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore, the resort strictly adheres to Dusit’s group-wide ‘Dusit Care – Stay with Confidence’ programme. Heightened cleaning protocols, contactless registration, anytime breakfast, digital in-room menus, and mobile payment methods are just some of the services and facilities implemented to protect the health and well-being of guests and employees. A Dusit Care Kit can also be found in the room for all guests to use too!

Conclusion

The overall experience that we had during our stay was great and from the Thai hospitality that was given to us and the food served, it does make us feel that we are on a holiday in Thailand. Designed to cater to avid golfers, local families, and business and leisure travellers to meet the needs from a wellness and destination getaway perspective, we would definitely recommend a stay here.
