Sumibiyaki, also know as Japanese charcoal grill is now available at Washoku GOEN, VivoCity! Get ready to feast your eyes while waiting for your food; watch the meat being charcoal-frilled ‘live’ by the grill master.
Washoku GEON at VivoCity offers two different types of BBQ menu, the Japanese BBQ with authentic Japanese flavour which uses eel sauce and Singa Style BBQ which cater more to the locals’ palate with homemade Japanese BBQ sauce.
A wide variety of meat offerings for you to choose from, ranging from chicken to pork and beef!
Love the presentation of the Sumibi Pork Jun $7.80 and the pork belly is well marinated as the meat is marinated overnight with a secret blend to infuse flavour.
Using a brush, meat is then basted generously with either eel sauce or homemade Japanese BBQ sauce while on the grill to achieve a flavourful and tender texture, at the same time sealing the juiciness of the meat.
If you are looking for a combo, preferably to share or perhaps if you have a big appetite, try the Sumibi BIG Rice set which consist of Beef Steak + Sumibi Yakitori + Sumibi Beef (Beef, Chicken and pork) at $23.80.
Located within VivoCity’s Food Republic, charcoal-grilled meat is served with seaweed rice and egg, from a pocket-friendly price of only $6.80 onwards for Japanese BBQ, and $10.80 onwards for Singa Style BBQ. Be warned of the huge portion of the meat, making this value for money. Apart from charcoal grill, Washoku GOEN menu also include Japanese Katsu Curry Rice and Tonkotsu Ramen.
