Located in the relaxed fishing village of Jimbaran where outstanding world-class resorts and villas is located at, there is this restaurant, Balique with this unique charm that I suggest all who are at the area to visit.
Balique pays homage to all the best of the Indonesian archipelago under its whirring fan-open style roof where this traditional seaside village and Balique suit each other harmoniously.
The outdoor area is a popular spot at night where people gather and drink.

Let’s take a selfie while waiting for our food to be served 🙂
Lemongrass and orange juice
We ordered two sides to go along with our mains. Fried Calamari and crispy spring rolls.
Our mains are grilled salmon and Nasi Campur, an Indonesian Assorted Rice which comes with Aromatic Rice / Beef Rendang, Corn Fritters, Curried Calamari, Fried Chicken, Bean Cake & Long Beans. Sedap!
It was a satisfying meal for the two of us and I would recommend you to try out the food if you can. They provide all day dining and do note that Balique is not air-conditioned but you won’t feel the heat as it’s cooled by the sea breeze. Not only a perfect place for High-Tea or informal meetings, it is also a nice place to enjoy a mixture of traditional Indonesian and Western cuisine here.
