During our first visit to Yunomori Onsen & Spa in Bangkok, the outlet in Singapore is still under construction and we were still discussing how great it is if there’s one in Singapore. Our experience at Yunomori Onsen & Spa was great that it became a must to visit whenever we are in Bangkok. It was so good that we actually went back for two consecutive days.
Yunomori Onsen & Spa is the first authentic Japanese Onsen & Spa in Thailand, bringing ancient Japanese onsen bathing culture together with traditional Thai massage to create a truely unique relaxing experience, which both of us did 🙂 Upon arriving, make your booking with the friendly staff from the packages available.
You can choose to either go for just the onsen or onsen + massage (highly recommended). If you choose the later, you will be asked to get yourself changed for the one hour onsen experience with water sourced directly from the thermal springs of Wat Wangkanai, where the temperature and mineral in the water helps to detoxify and relax the body before you go for your massage session with the Spa’s expert therapists.
There are instructions shown in the onsen are to help guide you along on the proper procedure to enjoy your onsen experience. In summary, after you’ve strip off all clothes on you, proceed to the bathing area to cleanse yourself before you begin you onsen journey. There’s hot pool, bubble pool, mineral pool, cold pool (which is freezing cold) as well as steam rooms and sauna for you to explore.
After an hour of onsen, dry yourself up and return back to the reception to begin your massage experience. We tried both the aroma massage as well as the thai massage and we highly recommend you to go for the aroma. To complete your experience, visit the Cafe for a drink or some healthy meals and enjoy the tranquility of the place as you escape from the hectic nature of city life.
