Whisk Café at Tiong Bahru

Tiong Bahru is slowly emerging into one of the hipster places to visit, especially with the increasing numbers of cafés opening in the neighbourhood. Located just right opposite Tiong Bahru Market, Whisk serves pretty good croissants, cakes and coffee.

With the increasing demand, rental fee went up as well and forced the previously owned Hong Kong Jin Tian Eating House to close shop and is now taken over by Whisk.

Whisk is a lovely small cafe owned by Patissier Tricia Lim with a nice white colonial look at the store front with glass panels that gives you a glimpse of the inviting interior. The clean white theme and natural light makes the interior look and feel spacious.

We ordered a slice of Carrot cake ($7), a Lemon Tart ($5), and a cup of Latte ($5.50) for our afternoon tea break after lunch. My favourite would be the Lemon Tart, which gave a fresh and smooth tangy twang, though the recommended is the Carrot Cake which is moist and filled with pineapple bits.
