5footway.inn is Singapore’s largest boutique hostel chain and in June 2016, they went through a property refreshment! We got this opportunity to visit the refreshed property and had a hostel stay experience.

After the refreshment of the property, experiential touch point have been enhanced to provide a more wholesome and meaningful stay for the guests. Hand-drawn welcome wall and artworks by local artists can be seen around the property, including a gallery of peepholes to introduce bite-sized parts of Singapore’s story to the guests.

These artworks, ranging from photography, illustrations, painting and drawings are specially chosen to form the gallery as each and every one of them tells a unique story of Singapore. Whether in-room of in the nicely decorated communal spaces, guests can get to learn more about Singapore’s culture.

The communal terrace, one of our favourite spaces, features an amazing view of the Singapore River, which explorers can soak in while enjoying their complimentary breakfast daily. The terrace is also part of Gallery 76, featuring works of Edwin Koo, an amazing Singaporean photographer.
