Serena Spa, a new spa and wellness experience awaits at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza, setting a new benchmark for spa design in Singapore with five luxurious private spa suites, each equipped with personal steam and shower facilities.
Located at level 4 of Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, Serena Spa also offers nail, hair wash and blow dry services too. Each spa suite is specially designed to suit a particular spa experience.
For instance, the Marma suite which focuses on the Marma Massage based on the South Indian Kalari martial art. The experience consists of four stages, begining with a gentle head massage with warm medicated oil, then lying on the floor as the therapist massages with the feet in long soothing strokes. A full body massage will be repeated by hands as you lie on the comfortable massage table. Lastly, the medical oil is removed by a full body scrub and washed off with a warm shower.
For couples, the Adam & Eve massage, a favourite part of a wedding package to celebrate wedding anniversaries is carried out in the Adam & Eve suite, the only suite which comes with two massage table. However, this suite is not reserved solely for couples only. friends who want to chat and relax while having a soothing full body massage can request for this suite as well.
New spa experiences are introduced on a regular basis. The latest one is a massage with activated charcoal as a medium, giving a very soft and pleasant sensation which helps to cleanse and rejuvenate the skin while relaxing tires and sore muscles.
As part of the post spa experience, Serena Spa includes an informal and comfortable spa lobby for me-time with quiet contemplation along with a cup of tea or coffee.
My therapist went through the process with me patiently, from understanding my body conditions and needs to selecting the aroma oil for my massage. The strokes she gave was good and you will feel extremely pampered throughout the process. Although there were some hiccups upon arriving at the spa, overall, it was a great spa experience for me.
