The first installation of Artbox Asia, Thailand’s largest creative Art-ivity pop-up market is here in Singapore this April over 2 weekends! With more than 300 stalls ranging from fashion to food, visitors can have an enjoyable thai experience there. However, it’s just way too crowded when we visited last weekend on the opening day.

We visited on the opening day at 3:00pm and it was drizzling. We thought we could braved through the light drizzle to walk around the market, but it turned into a heavy downpour after we enter the market. Despite having an umbrella with us, we decided to head back to MBS to seek shelter as we are already getting a little drenched.

2 hours later, the rain stopped and we went back in again, looking forward to explore around and try some thai-licious food and drinks. Look at the crowd, it’s hardly possible for us to move around and see what are the different stalls selling. So, we left after our second attempt 🙁

However we decided to revisit again on Friday evening after work and we’re glad that the crowd wasn’t as bad as the first weekend and we can now walk around leisurely and be able to see what are the various stalls selling. We even managed to try out some of the food too!

Live performances as you chill and enjoy the music, food as well as the evening breeze.

We also noticed that DBS is giving out bottled water for FREE! Such a nice gesture from them 🙂

It’s the last weekend for Artbox Singapore and if you are visiting, here’s some helpful tips for you :

Come in your slippers or sandal, avoid wearing your favorite pair of shoes (especially if it’s white) as puddle of water will start forming up if it rains

Dress comfortably in your tees, singlet and shorts. No flowy dress or long jeans as you don’t want them to get soaking wet in the event if it rains.

Bring along an umbrella or wear a poncho, so you won’t go around poking people with your umbrella in the event if it rains.

Peak hours are from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and you are strongly encouraged to take public transport.
