Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore marks last phase of Refurbishment with Interactive Art Showcase

Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore, which has entered its last phase of refurbishment, engaged the Band of Doodlers, a group of young local artists to doodle, draw and illustrate in an interactive art showcase over the weekend on its premises. Around 150 guests and members of the public attended the interactive art event at Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore on Saturday, 15 August. Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore has undergone a major refurbishment, following the rebranding from Traders Hotel to Hotel Jen last year. Works started in December 2014 with the renovating of the Club Lounge, 15 Suites and 550 Guest Rooms. The hotel is now in the last phase of refurbishment with completion expected by end-November. The ground floor is the focus area for this last phase of refurbishment, and a large hoarding wall has been put up to close off the renovation space on the ground floor. ANA Announces Two New Star Wars™ Themed Planes

ANA, Japan’s largest airline, today announced that two more of its planes will be decorated with Star Wars characters as part of an agreement with The Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd. BB-8, a brand new character from Star Wars: The Force Awakens scheduled for theatrical release in December 2015, will be displayed on the livery of the BB-8™ ANA Jet, a Boeing 777-300ER. ANA also announced the Star Wars™ ANA Jet, which will showcase both BB-8 and R2-D2 on the outside of a Boeing 767-300. These Star Wars themed planes will join the previously announced R2-D2™ ANA Jet, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Through this combination of characters, ANA hopes to welcome more passengers of all ages from around the world. The ANA Star Wars planes’ will also display in-flight decorations, such as headrest covers, paper napkins and cups featuring Star Wars characters. Air New Zealand has teamed up with the All Blacks and an all-star line-up of international rugby greats to tackle the airline’s latest on board safety video, Men in Black Safety Defenders. Inspired by the Columbia Pictures global film franchise Men in Black, Air New Zealand’s latest safety instalment features All Black’s Captain Richie McCaw and Dan Carter as Men in Black agents. Starring alongside the two long-serving All Blacks is Coach Steve Hansen, team mates Kieran Read, Keven Mealamu, Sam Whitelock and Israel Dagg who gets to test his vocals alongside Kiwi musician Stan Walker. American actor Rip Torn reprises his role as Chief of the Men in Black with Wallabies great David Campese, former England Captain Martin Johnson and former Argentinean Captain Agustin Pichot making cameo appearances. As the nation ge​ars up to cele​brate Singapore’s Golden Jubilee this weekend, Gardens by the Bay and Audemars Piguet have come together to commemorate the occasion with the unveiling of Singapore’s only sizable public floral clock. Blending timekeeping precision with botanical artistry, the Floral Clock was unveiled by Minister for National Development, Mr Khaw Boon Wan, together with Dr Kiat W. Tan, CEO of Gardens by the Bay, and Mr Oliviero Bottinelli, Member of the Board of Directors, Audemars Piguet Holding SA. Displayed prominently in the Gardens, at the intersection between the cooled conservatoires and the Supertree Grove, the seven-metre-wide Floral Clock draws inspiration from the signature characteristics of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak collection and fuses traditional and contemporary landscaping elements in its design. The new Sentosa Line, a $78 million investment, will now allow guests to connect from Merlion Plaza to Siloso Point, on the western tip of the island. Jetstar Asia to move to KLIA2 terminal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 8 July 2015

From 8 July 2015, all Jetstar Asia flights will arrive and depart from the KLIA2 terminal at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. KLIA2 is located less than two kilometres away from the KLIA Main Terminal and is accessible from KL Sentral via the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit. There is no change in the flight schedule, ground handler, check-in facilities or check-in timings. However, passengers transferring between KLIA Main terminal and KLIA2 will need to clear immigration and collect their checked bags before they can transfer to their next flight. Passengers are advised to check in at the airport at least two hours before departure and are reminded to allow ample time for their local transfers to and from the KLIA airport. Passengers booked to travel between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur on and after 2 June will receive an updated email itinerary to reflect the location of the new airport.
