Sand Bar is as authentic as a beach bar gets. Newly-renovated and refreshed, Sand Bar rolls out an all-new food menu, from hearty platters and scrumptious buffet spread of fresh barbecued meats and seafood, to classic beach bites for the ultimate casual beach dining experience.
We started off with the Italian antipasti(“before the meal”) appetizers which are somewhat of a surprise. Inviting prosciutto(ham) with melon pearls, eggplants, feta cheese, mushrooms and olives lined the wooden plates for our picking. The flavors are spot on and provides a good opening to the BBQ to come.
Other side dishes included smoked salmon marinated with rose marry and olive oil. Potato gnocchi with burnt butter sauce, baked vegetables gratin which were all well seasoned and yummy.
The items on the menu is cooked on the spot ensuring that fresh ingredients such as tiger prawns, slipper lobsters, Norwegian salmon and Australian beef tenderloin are served hot. Our favorite was the salmon and prawns as it was grilled nicely without being overly dry.
For deserts we had a huge fruit platter, chocolate tart with fruits and a mango custard. Weekend BBQ diners are entitled to Sand Bar’s irresistible 7th Heaven promotion (usually available only on weekdays from 6pm to 9pm). Soak up the sun and sip on Sand Bar’s best-selling 7 th Heaven Strawberry Mojito, premium bottled beers and much more for only $7 nett each for a refreshing treat to accompany your meal.
Overall this is a value for money BBQ buffet in a nice relaxing beach setting. Topping off the sun-kissed experience is Sand Bar’s live music every Saturday and DJ performances on Fridays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 6pm till late with a view of fireworks.
