Samsung Electronics Singapore today announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 4G+ and Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+. Both devices redefine the possibilities of large screen smartphones through Samsung’s 5.7-inch Quad HD SUPER AMOLED display.
The Galaxy Note 5 4G+ provides refined S Pen capabilities, an unmatched set of productivity tools such as Microsoft® Office 365TM and SideSync 4.0 in a premium glass and metal design. Providing an immersive multimedia experience, the Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+ features innovative Dual Edge display with further Enhanced Edge UX.
Galaxy Note 5 4G+ equipped with Enhanced S Pen
The Galaxy Note 5 4G+ is a stunning upgrade to Samsung’s flagship Galaxy Note line. Inspired by the design legacy of the Galaxy S6 4G+, it ergonomically fits in one hand with a narrower bezel and curved back. To cater to today’s highly efficient mobile users, the Galaxy Note 5 4G+ features an Enhanced S Pen that offers improved writing capabilities and detection for faster, more intuitive access to its features.
The S Pen offers users much flexibility when personalising a message for a loved one or editing photos from a memorable party, with doodles and scribbles as if you are writing with a pen on paper. The Enhanced Air Command launches immediately upon removal of the S Pen, and users can access Action Memo, Smart Select, Screen Write in addition to three favourite app shortcuts.
With an improved Screen Write feature, users can Scroll Capture up to 22 webpages and annotate on it. Now sharing long online news articles is a breeze. The updated Smart Select function makes image clipping easier by saving the URL with a photo cropped from the website into the Scrapbook app. This is especially useful when comparing deals across e-shopping sites.
With Screen Off Memo, users can now jot down quick memos even when the screen is off. Taking down special coffee orders for the coffee run is now fast and easy.
Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+ features Dual Edge Display
Samsung continues to drive and enlarge its design heritage with the introduction of the Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+. This new smartphone provides a better viewing experience for optimal multimedia consumption with its Dual Edge screen.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+ features Apps Edge for easy access to favourite apps and Enhanced People Edge for easy communication with the user’s favourite contacts. Now, users can easily send hand-written memos, emoticons and pokes, in addition to calling, messaging and emailing their key contacts.
Powerful Core Galaxy Features
Both the Galaxy Note 5 4G+ and Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+ feature unprecedented multimedia capabilities through Samsung’s industry-leading 5.7-inch Quad HD SUPER AMOLED display for a deeper screen contrast, true to life colours and in-depth details.
Users of these smartphones will also benefit from Samsung’s Advanced Camera System, including Auto Real Time High Dynamic Range (HDR), Smart Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and IR Detect White Balance. The new Pro Mode lets users save photos as RAW files and manually adjust the shutter speed.
Improved video capabilities include Video Collage, allowing users to capture multiple videos, create slow motion videos and more into one simple collage. Galaxy Note 5 4G+ and Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+ also feature Live Broadcast, which streams live videos in Full HD straight from the users’ cameras, allowing them to share moments in real time.
In order to enhance operability on the Galaxy Note 5 4G+ and Galaxy S6 edge+ 4G+, both devices feature Samsung’s fast wired and wireless charging technology, with long lasting battery life and embedded wireless charging technology compatible with virtually most Wireless Charging Pads available in the market today. Both devices can charge fully through wired Ultra Fast Charging in approximately 90 minutes. With the latest Fast Wireless Charging Pad, both devices can also charge up to 2X faster than the previous version.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 4G+ will be available from 15 August 2015 in Black Sapphire and Gold Platinum, with 32GB5 and 64GB5 storage options, at a recommended retail price of $1,088 and $1,188 respectively.
