Celebrated my auntie’s birthday last saturday at the Spices Cafe, located in Concorde Hotel. It’s been quite some thing since we last went for Hi-Tea session ever since the Phoenix Garden Cafe located at the John Little shopping mall in Somerset was demolished. ( the location between Orchard Central & Somerset 313)
So while hunting for a dining venue, i came across the Weekend Hi-Tea buffet at the Spices Cafe. Its just what my aunties and mum would love to have. They are into the very asian and localised kind of buffet where u can find food like laksa, nooodle, mee siam, dim sum etc..
Overall, i really love the ambient of the cafe, the use of black and white as their main colours for the whole restaurant was great! The white cushion sofa seats, the lamps in black, wall painted black and white with use of glass to create a very “hi-class” feel 😀
and the first dish that my mum and aunties tried was the laksa hahaha~and they told me its was good! though i nvr try it.
i went for the trishaw noodle instead,( basically refering to the kind of noodles that the pple in the 70s 80s, sell on their trishaw. ) the noodle is really very nice! especially the soup, MARVELOUS! 😀
A few of their fried food and dim sum available…
Salad anyone?
Self mixed Rojak by Chef Ang aka myself 😛
SUSHI~!!!!
Pastries for the sweet tooth.
Other than these food that i’ve ate, there’s a lot more which too bad, i didn’t managed to try out all of them…
Overall, the food was ok for me, and i think i would like to try their dinner buffet with alot more varieties of food to choose from.
In total, we spent a total of $140 for 5 pax, which round up to ard $30 per person.
