Things to Look Out For
Strike a pose at the 3D photo backdrops and floor vinyl as the Gallery brings artworks from the exhibitions to life. Dry salted fish with the women from Cheong Soo Pieng’s Drying Salted Fish, play with the lions in Raden Saleh’s Forest Fire, or sit on a sampan in Liu Kang’s Life by the River.
Nostalgic Pop-Up Market
Relive the markets of the past with a pop-up street scape at the Gallery’s basement concourse. Take part in nostalgic games like chapteh or pick-up sticks. You can even try a hand at calligraphy, silkscreen or papercutting at the various stations in the pop-up market. Feeling peckish? Enjoy traditional snacks like kacang putih sold at the Padang Atrium!

Designed in collaboration with art practitioners, Family Weekends feature a line-up of parent-child interactive programmes that use the Gallery’s collection as a springboard to introduce little ones to art.
