SINGAPORE – Changi Recommends launches a new foreign exchange (FX) service for travellers to change foreign currencies in a fast, convenient and seamless way. Passengers just need to pre-order the currencies online and collect the money at Changi Airport as they prepare to fly out. With some of the best exchange rates available in Singapore and the added option of contactless collection, the service simplifies the money changing journey into a hassle-free and time-saving experience.

The live rates are available on Changi Recommends’ FX website www.fx.changirecommends.com. Travellers can lock in their preferred rates across close to 20 currencies up to seven days before their trip. This removes the need to set aside time to travel down to a physical money changer and queue to get their foreign currencies. They also no longer have to carry large amounts of cash with them after the exchange and worry about their personal safety. Payment for the new Changi Recommends service can be done conveniently through PayNow and the transaction is completed in minutes. Orders can be made as close as one day before the desired collection date, for amounts from S$300 to S$4,999.99.

When submitting an order, travellers can select their preferred date and time for collection of currencies for convenient pick-up just before checking in for their flights. They can choose contactless collection at Terminal 1 via security-coded safe deposit boxes (available 24/7), or over the Changi Recommends counter in Terminal 3.

“The money changing journey is an essential part of any travel and has always been a multi-step process – from withdrawing cash from the bank, to researching the best rates and finally making a dedicated trip down to brick-and-mortar money changers. Aligned with Changi Recommends’ motto of making travel simple, our FX service innovates and redefines this outdated tradition by combining online exchange, competitive city rates and next-day airport collection into a quick and straightforward FX experience that will allow travellers to save time and money,”

says Mr Ng Yan Sheng, General Manager of Changi Recommends.

The Changi Recommends FX service operates under Changi Travel Exchange, licenced by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Introductory promotion – Get one of the best (if not THE best) rates in Singapore with Changi Recommends!

Google’s live rates is a popular and reliable tool that travellers use to compare money changers’ rates against. Popular money changers often peg their rates as close to it as possible too. As an incentive for all early-bird customers, Changi Recommends will be offering BETTER rates than Google, and is inviting you to do a quick comparison at https://fx.changirecommends.com.

This promotion will be valid for a limited time only and Changi Recommends reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to amend or remove this promotion without prior notice.
