This Lunar New Year season, turn the tide and celebrate fresh beginnings in the Niu (牛) year with Furama Singapore (Furama RiverFront and Furama City Centre), as we usher in the Year of the Ox with perennial delicacies and creative classics for dine-in and takeaways from 1 February to 26 February 2021.
Look forward to three newly-created Yu Sheng and festive best-sellers for takeaways; an exclusive Spring celebration package and reunion buffets offered across The Square@Furama, Tiffany Café & Restaurant and Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant (Halal).
“Bountiful” Beef Dendeng with Lime Avocado Sauce Yu Sheng (Halal)
Inspired by the celebrated cuisine of Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant (Halal) at Furama RiverFront, this new addition marries well-loved Indonesian flavours with the customary Chinese dish. As a nod to the Year of the Ox, our chefs raised the “ox-spicious” ante by incorporating Dendeng Sapi (spice-cured dried beef) into the festive toss. Accompanying the beef slices are jackfruit, green papaya, pomelo, celery, pickled ginger, ginger flower and crispy tahu telor. The mix is dressed in a homemade lime avocado sauce.
“Blossom” Fresh Fruits Yu Sheng with Chia Seeds and Pineapple Sauce
Meanwhile, Tiffany Café & Restaurant at Furama City Centre spotlights a new, wholesome option that is
refreshing on the palate. Look forward to fruit-centric ingredients like strawberries, blueberries, rose apple (jambu), guava, pomegranate, pomelo, raisins and fruit jelly. Added to the platter are nutrient-packed chia seeds, as well as homemade lotus chips, sweet potato chips and cashew nuts that offer extra crunch. The sweet-tangy notes of the pineapple drizzle complement the mix beautifully.
“Abundance” Ocean’s Harvest Yu Sheng with Plum Sauce
Take your festive toss up a notch with this indulgent version presented by The Square@Furama (Furama RiverFront). Symbolising an abundance of fortune, raise your chopsticks to briny-fresh baby abalone, scallops and smoked salmon, alongside lofty stacks of julienned carrot, beetroot, radish, pickles, roasted peanut and sesame seeds, golden crackers and crispy fish skin. The salad is finished off with a brightly-flavoured plum sauce. Available for takeaway or as part of the Chinese New Year Reunion Buffet at $58++ per platter.
Purists will seek comfort in the classics – our signature “Prosperity” Smoked Salmon Yu Sheng, available in medium (serves 4 to 6) and large (serves 6 to 8) platters. Available for takeaway or as part of the Chinese New Year Reunion Buffet at $38++ per platter.
