SINGAPORE – Air New Zealand, a world-class airline, focused on connecting New Zealanders to each other and New Zealand to the world, announced the resumption of direct flights from Singapore to Auckland on 27 March. Together with alliance partner Singapore Airlines, 14 weekly flight services between Singapore and Auckland on the Boeing 789-9 will be introduced to meet demand for flights between the two destinations.
Enhancing on-flight safety measures for the well-being of passengers and flight crew

- Air New Zealand requires all inflight-crew to be fully vaccinated.
- All passengers aged 18 and older who are travelling internationally on an Air New Zealand aircraft are required to have proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Customers who are not vaccinated will be required to present proof of exemption.
- Air New Zealand crew wear extensive personal protective equipment (PPE) including N95 or P2 masks, eye protection and gloves.
- All Air New Zealand 787-900 aircraft come fitted with HEPA filters and undergo cleaning with an anti-viral cleaning product following each flight.
Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President Marketing Planning, Ms JoAnn Tan, welcomed Air New Zealand’s decision to reinstate services to Singapore, which would provide even more connections to and from New Zealand.
“We warmly welcome our close joint venture and alliance partners back to Singapore. The reintroduction of these services will compliment Singapore Airlines 7 weekly services between Auckland and Singapore and provide our mutual customers with even more travel options.”
“Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand have shared a strong partnership over the past seven years and we look forward to working closely to provide even more travel options for customers to explore New Zealand, or for Kiwis to travel to Singapore and beyond on SIA’s global network of 97 destinations.”
