Gd MORNING! Day 2 was a tiring and hectic one as we will be visiting a few places and spending quite a fair bit of time on traveling. SO… we needa have a PROPER breakfast right!
before that, a pic of my outfit for the day 😉
Yong He Dou Jiang 永和豆浆 for breakfast! the one we went to was a small branch in xi men ding therefore there’s not proper tables and chairs for you to sit as it caters mostly for takeaways.
抓饼with ham and egg…
Man Tou 馒头 with ham and egg…
饭团!!! super nice! wrapped with pork fillet, egg and pork floss!!! YUMMEH!!!
see that!!!
MY FAVOURITE!!!
looks like they are enjoying the food as well! 😉
my red tea to start my morning fresh! 🙂
ok that’s our hotel…
we took a bus from taipei bus terminal to Ye Liu 野柳, which cost us 96 bucks per person for the ticket.
the whole bus journey took approx 40 mins plus but the ride was quite a pleasant one and the seat was kinda comfortable, so you can take a nap if you want to 😉
and here we are!
the entrance to the park is ard a 5 to 10 mins walk after alighting.
i guess the houses will be collapsing sooner or later…
you’ll pass by a temple which looks like this…
OK! reached liao!
admission tickets at 50NT 😉
the queen head No.2.. this is not the real queen head! they made a replica of it as the neck of the real queen head is getting thinner and smaller, so if one day, the head breaks off, there’s still a replica here to see…
Gloomy skies and extremely strong wind and waves~~~
that is not the queen head as well though it looks quite similar.. they call this the princess head…
but unfortunately, before i can reach the queen head, it starts to POUR HEAVILY!!! sianz to the max! we’re left with no choice but to leave 🙁
there’s this long stretch of shops side by side when exiting from the park whereby you can purchase some souvenirs here…
Initially we are supposed to take a bus from 野柳 to 基隆 and catch another bus up to 九份. but thinking of the journey time we’re gonna spend, it’s gonna take up ard 2 hours plus of traveling time!
therefore, we decided to take a cab from 野柳 to 九份 instead whereby we pay 200NT per pax, which is 200 x 5pax = 1000NT (bargain till 900NT) 😀 and traveling time is only ard 30min plus! after some calculation, we realized that it’s about the same traveling fare if we were to take the bus. SO, why not?! more comfortable also right?!
so here we are.. arrived at 九份老街… SUPER windy and i think the temperature was like only below 20 degrees!
had our lunch there after doing some shopping. 贡丸米粉汤! very shiok to have some pipping hot in this chilly weather!
as my mum and aunties wanna try on the railway experience, purchased the train tickets from 瑞芳 rui fang railway station back to taipei station. last year when i went with my bbfs, we bought the tickets without and seat numbers and we needa stand throughout the whole journey back. SO, this time round i requested for the tickets with seat number so as to ensure we get to have a more comfortable ride back 😉
After arriving back in taipei, we went to our hotel to unload our stuff before heading out to shi da night market 师大夜市
yummy coffee cream puff
my first time eating this. 大肠包小肠?
we had our dinner there as well. tried this bbq chicken rice… not bad the chicken are quite tasty but i loved the side dishes more leh~ hahaha
mum ordered the curry chicken instead and it taste not bad too!
Spicy minced meat…
after dinner at shi da, we went over to eslite 诚品书店 as the bookstore closes at 2am 😉 so its really a great place to head to for some readings or chill at their cafe just like what we did when we arrived there!
and we spent our night there with coffee and reading some good books and magazine. 😉
