A.E.I.O.U - Does this sound familiar to you? I'm sure most of us learnt these as the vowels of the alphabets as a child.
I've heard quite a few of my friends telling me about this Chir Chir Chicken which serves yummy Korean Fried Chicken, and since there isn't
Gastrosmiths was known as The Humble Loaf, which used to be located at B1 of Katong Shopping Centre which i didn't visit before. Previously

Trying to get this post out before the end of 2014 since it’s about my birthday staycation, which is in late July this year and… yes, I know i’m kind of slow in getting this post out. HAHA!
If you have notice, I will have a theme for my birthday staycation every year. RELAJARSE, Party like a KPOP Star, Summer Blue, Fintage1986 for the past few years, this year the theme is GLOW2NI8HT where everyone will have to be in their NEON glowing outfit! 😀
In this volume of the travel photobook, you will get to see the impressive architecture of the University of Sydney, market at the Market
Not long ago, my friends decided to bring me out for dinner as I was kinda down and they brought me to this restaurant hidden in a corner at the newly opened Orchardgateway, Supply & Demand.
From what my friend to me, it’s not easy to get a seat there as it’s always full and you need to make reservations online. If not, be prepared to queue up to more than an hour for a seat. We’re lucky as we didn’t wait for long, approx 20 mins on that day, though my friend made a booking online and only to know that he booked the wrong date LOL!
Brand new 502-room hotel at Orchardgateway showcases revolutionary ‘Jen’ hotel hospitality concept
Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore, the first of a new ‘Jenre’ of fresh, friendly and fuss-free mid-range hotels by Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd, opened its doors to the public in Singapore. The opening is the first in a major initiative to launch the Hotel Jen brand in nine key gateway cities across Asia Pacific by March 2015.
*Ps just in case you are wondering, yes the post is about my Hong Kong & Macau trip in Feb this year 😛
After 3 nights in Hong Kong, we moved on to Macau, the City of Dream! This is my first time to Macau and I have to say that I’m really looking forward to it. We bought the ferry tickets from Hong Kong to Macau at HKD160.00.
A few weeks ago, when my friends and I drove past Upper Paya Lebar Road, I caught sight of a yellow signboard with the words “Three Years in a Balloon” outside a shophouse.
Being a sucker for cafes, I was excited and googled about it. I found out that it was a newly opened café, operated by the same people behind Wimbly Lu. Three Years in a Balloon specialises mainly in desserts such as cakes, waffles and ice cream. I also found out that it was only open on weekdays until 7.30pm. I don’t get home before 10pm usually (the café was near my home) so there was no way I could make it after work.
Still, the hipster in me wanted to try the café – try it before everyone knows about it! – so I made up my mind to find a free afternoon to visit it.
So here I am!
I guess this cafe is one of the most secretive cafe that i’ve ever know. Just like what my title says, many will seek but not all shall find. Phew~ we are the lucky ones to find it 🙂
It’s located along Niven Road but you will not be able to see any store front nor a big sign saying CAFE HERE. Here’s a hint to you, there’s this blue door located along this stretch where you will need to knock on it. Locating this door isn’t hard but getting into this blue door, you might need some luck. If someone opens the door for you, you’re lucky today. If not, then sorry, you will have to come back again another day as seats in there are really limited.
Having an important meeting to attend or going on a date with someone you’re interested? I’m sure you would like to make sure you look, feel and smell good too right? Especially our hair which tends to get oily easily. Not to worry, here’s something that I would like to share with you which I’m sure it’ll benefit you!
Before i proceed to tell you what is it going to be, let’s go on a mini tour around the salon! It’s really very nicely decorated and I personally quite like it. Especially the super wider mirror with lights which shout “best lighting for selfie” ! lol~

Located in the neighbourhood of Havelock road, just right below Blk 22 sits this cafe, The Tastemaker Store. Designed with a simple layout which makes one feel at home where you are able to spend an afternoon with your friends and family over an enjoyable meal 😉
With the recommendation from my friends and viewing pics of these cafe on instagram, I just have to add it into the list of cafe that i want to visit. It was really an impromptu decision, as my initial plan was to visit the cafe on a weekend afternoon, but since both my friend and I was thinking hard of a place for dinner, we decided to have it there.
Eight Cafe & Bar is located along Bukit Pasoh, on the same stretch of street where The New Majestic Hotel is located. Be prepared to get Wow-ed by the vintagey interior decor 😉
Singapore will get a taste of Manchester’s fierce football rivalry when SingTel and Samsung bring megastars of the beautiful game, Rio Ferdinand and Sergio Agüero, to town on May 15 and 16.
Rivals on and off the pitch, the world-class footballers will face-off in the SingTel Game On! challenge, a unique two-day contest that aims to celebrate Singapore’s passion for football in the leadup to the 2014 FIFA World CupTM. The event is part of SingTel’s regional partnership with Samsung, which was recently launched together with the highly anticipated GALAXY S5 LTE.
Second day of my hong kong trip, we went to a factory outlet which sells all the branded stuff like Coach, Gucci, i.t store, G.O.D, prada, and many many more! but eventually i didn’t get anything from there though :X
Are you ready for the ‘Ben & Jerriest day of the year’? To say ‘THANK YOU’ to the fans for their continued support, Ben & Jerry’s is inviting all fans to enjoy a free scoop of ice cream on them this Free Cone Day, Tuesday, 8 April 2014, at their scoop shops.
Leading a healthy lifestyle is something that I always wish to have and I’m glad that i’ve managed to do that, especially when i noticed myself losing more than 10 kg over the past one year.
Firstly, controlling your diet is important. Cutting down on sugary stuff and eat more fruits and vegetables helps 😉 It’s not that you can’t indulge in your favourite cakes and ice cream, just that you need to do control yourself from over eating. Other than controlling your diet, excercise is another important factor in helping you to keep a healthy lifestyle! I started visiting the gym since last year and i’m glad that i’m enjoying it thus far 😉
Went for a long holiday break over the Chinese New Year period to Hong Kong to experience the COLD over there and true enough, it was FREEZING cold~ and i was not prepared for it hahaha~ brought alot of clothes there but most not suitable to wear, but that’s also a good excuse for me to do more SHOPPING right?
It was an early morning flight, in need of my coffee fix before departing. Glad to have Starbucks in the airport 😉
Finally i got to meet the 2 superstars that arrived in September 2012 and is now residing at The Giant Panda Forest located in River Safari. They are like one of the main highlight that makes me want to visit, as well as the newly opened river boat ride, which i think was quite enjoyable too! 😉 so let’s begin our river adventure~
This is really a backdated post which is supposed to be up before chinese new year, but… once again, due to hectic work, i’ve only managed to get it up now :X Anyway~ better than nothing right? lol
So my christmas last year (now that sounds like so long ago) was spent at Carlton City Hotel, located in one of Singapore’s most exciting historical neighbourhoods.

If you’ve been to Penang, i’m sure you would have visited the street art in Georgetown right? If not you can read my post the the Georgetown Street Art here. Just when i was asking myself if one day, these street art will appear in Singapore, since there’s so much restriction here and some see it as a form of vandalism instead of art, was surprised to know that Ernest Zacharevic had started working on the street art here in Singapore!
Have you heard of the Black Box? It’s a box that comes in black. HAHA! Okay obviously it is a box that comes in black but do you know what’s in the box? Black Box is the first free unisex lifestyle sampling box in Singapore! It brings pleasant surprise coupled with loads of fun, rewards and a healthy dose of curiosity satisfied – without costing a fraction of a penny.
After a S$30 million refurbishment, the former Paramount Hotel and Shopping Centre was rebranded Village Hotel Katong when Far East Hospitality took over operation in mid-February 2012. Was really excited and happy to go on a staycation there, somewhere out of the usual in a neighbourhood area.
The 229-room Village Hotel Katong reflects the strong Peranakan heritage of the surrounding Katong and Joo Chiat district in Singapore which i personally quite like it 😉 Was given a Club Room which is really spacious yet cosy enough.
Finally have the chance to visit this nice little cafe situated along Tyrwhitt Road by the name of The Tiramisu Hero Cafe. I still remember visiting them the other time but it was so crowded and getting a table was so difficult that we decided to come back another day. Luckily this time round, we managed to get a table 😉
One of the main objective or the places that i wanted to visit for this Penang trip of mine was the infamous Street Art located around Georgetown 😉
All these beautifully executed wall paints and murals at selected streets of George Town, Penang was by this young Lithuania-born artist, Ernest Zacharevic.
The second day of the trip, we booked the cab driver from the hotel for a half day tour around Penang. It’s so much convenient and you don’t have to worry about how to travel from one place to the other. The whole tour lasted for about 6 hours and we started off at 9am in the morning, with the temples as our first destination.
Upon checking in to our wonderful hotel at Four Points by Sheraton and with the recommendation from the friendly staff, we took a cab arranged by the hotel to Straits Quay which is located not far from the hotel, approx. 10 mins drive to have our lunch.
We settled down for lunch at PappaRich as it’s the only restaurant open with local food. Most of the restaurants there are selling western food, more like a chillax place with beer and wine.
TEMPORIUM is a pop-up store, diner and gallery housed on Dunlop street in quaint Little India. Its a place where you get to enjoy a cup of artisan coffee and pastry, and to do some shopping ranging from fashion to books from a selection of designers, craftsmen and artists.
Its always good to go for a short getaway, away from work and I need one to BREATHE and relax myself. An impromptu decision was made at a cafe some time back and since there’s a nice hotel with good promo and cheap tickets from air asia, we booked this trip, immediately.
S.H.E， The One & Only…
Cafe Hopping Time! There’s something special about this cafe that we’ve visited a few weeks ago. It’s a simple cafe with very simple decor and seriously, if i were to walk pass the cafe, i wouldn’t have notice it. From the exterior, it looks like a warehouse to me. I even have difficulty locating the door to enter lor! hahaha~
After my last day of work with my previous company, I decided to go for a short trip to refresh myself before i start work proper at my new work place. SO.. i supposed the best destination with good food, cheap buys and relaxing massage to be… BANGKOK!
Here’s what i packed for a short 4D3N trip to Bkk~!
Finally after so long, i’ve managed to get these images done and up here. It’s been 2 months and i’m sure the memories i had with my colleagues will always be with me. This phuket trip marks the last overseas trip i’ll have with my previous company.
Now. enough said, enjoy the photos!
Tamoya Udon is located at the basement of chinatown point, very near to the escalator and entrance of Uniqlo. Was looking for a place to have my dinner with mr c a few months ago, yes too busy to blog lately! :X and he told me that he tried this when he was in Japan before and would like to see how it fair here in Singapore.
Just a brief intro, Tamoya was established in the home on udon, Sanuki (now known as Kagawa) prefecture in 1996 by Sanuki udon champion, Tamotsu Kurokawa
Here’s how to go about ordering your food.
First you choose the type of udon that you want. Personally i prefer the Kake.
[台北演唱会初体验CONCERT IN TAIPEI!] series is coming to an end, and in case if you are wondering why you don’t see any concert related entries in this series, no worry as i will be posting them up soon.
Stay Real cafe is located in dong qu where there’s alot of nice boutique shops which is very similar to our haji lane here in singapore. You might be able to find cheap deals but at the same time, you might be leave empty handed too haha~
If you guys know me well enough, you will know that i don’t take beef, despite people telling me how good it is etc. So on my last taiwan trip, we were introduced to this infamous beef noodles stall located in one of the alley near taipei main station. Upon checking they they have other noodles instead of beef, i agreed to go check it out with the rest 😉
Whenever i visit taiwan, there is one particular food that i must eat. Not chicken cutlet nor bubble tea. It’s LU ROU FAN! and my favourite 滷肉飯 gotta be the one from 鬍鬚張 Famosa Chang!
鼎泰丰Ding Tai Fung, where everyone go for their infamous Xiao Long Bao, originated from Taiwan and since i’m there, and upon hearing from friends on how good it is in taiwan, we decided to try it there!
The outlet we visited is located at Tien Mu SOGO and initially i thought it wouldn’t be crowded since its a weekend morning at 11am, but was surprise that the queue is super long lor!
Not sure if you have the same feeling as me, i noticed that there isn’t alot of places that you can go to for breakfast in taipei, or probably at ximending (maybe there are other nice places for breakfast but yet to explore them out), 永和豆漿 Yong He Breakfast Shop is one that i will always go to whenever i visit taipei 🙂
WOOHOOO!!! Aug is coming soon and i’m so looking forward to it as first of all, the first day of AUG is my birthday, and i am going on 2 overseas trips!!! due to my annual ICT, i will be spending my birthday in camp instead, therefore i need to shift my birthday celebrations with my loved ones in advance.
Special thanks to PARK ROYAL ON PICKERING as the venue sponsor for my [RELAJARSE] (read from the pic above for the meaning) birthday party with my BBFs and also TAWIAN BEER for the wondering fruit beer which all of use loved it so much! 😀
SO.. are you ready to check out how much fun we had and the awesome rooms at parkroyal on pickering?!
June was one of the month that im looking forward to as i’m finally flying off once again on a holiday since my last trip in sept last year. Other than that, it’s also the first time i’m heading to Taipei to catch my favourite group S.H.E comeback concert and most importantly with my ambloves! 😀
In this entry, i’m introducing you VIA HOTEL that we stayed at. It’s a pretty new hotel located in the heart of Xi Men Ding and it’s actually quite good leh! Here’s my room throughout the stay 🙂
I was having dinner with a few friends the other day and one of them asked me : “Hey! You seems to be leading a very happening lifestyle hor~ see you always eat good food, go travel, go for staycations and all. How do you manage to stay so positive ah? You seem so stress-free!” Hahaha~ I burst out laughing after hearing his question.
Come on, seriously, who can stay positive and stress-free all the time? Every single one of us will have ups and downs in our lives, but it’s about how you manage it. In order to cope, some people resort to clubbing, drinking, or even worse, take DRUGS!
The 2 most common drugs that people take are Ice and Heroin. I seriously have no idea what it gives you by taking them. Maybe it will make you feel happy, excited and worry free? Maybe after taking these drugs, all your problems will be solved, all your worries will be gone and you will lead a happier life? NO! These drugs cannot do that. All the happy sensations you get are not permanent! After the initial ‘high’. All you are left with are the negative effects which will only harm your body!
Lowered heart rate and respiration
Damage to lungs, kidneys and liver
Dull feeling and tiredness
Difficulty in concentrating
Increased heart rate and body temperature
Fits, stroke and death
Damage to heart and nerves
Liver and kidney diseases
Abnormal behaviour with mood swings, confusion, delusion and hallucination
Anxiety and irritability
So you tell me, what benefit will taking drugs give you leh?! NOTHING! So please, stay away from drugs. It will not do you any good! Rather than spending your money on things that will harm you, why not spend it on something that can make you happy, and at the same time good for you? Let me show you how I do it! 🙂
Few weeks ago, i wanted to bring my bbfs for makan at the cajun king but it was fully booked that night. So we switched over to Wimbly Lu but still fully occupied.. we move down and finally settled down for some pasta at Rokeby which is located along Jalan Riang as well.
It wasn’t very crowded like the other 2 when we enter but it got really crowded when we left. looks like the crowd came in slightly later for them.
So.. what’s for dinner? let’s take a look at the menu…
This is super random as ive never try to do a blog entry without using a proper PC or laptop. I’ve saw people using their iPad or even their phone to write a entry out and I always question, seriously can do that meh? And now since I’ve gotten myself a iPad mini, I’m gonna to try it out! So this entry you are reading is created on an iPad mini 😉
So.. The Singapore blog awards is over and yes, I didn’t win anything except a consolation prize for the best dress of the day. But I would still love to thank every single one of you that helped to vote for me daily and at the same time to congrats all the winners! 😀
Went on a short trip to job with my bbfs for food, massage and petrol on Sunday and the jam was quite a terrible one. We left at arc 7 and only managed to reach back at Singapore at 10 plus…
Was supposed to head down for a brunch tasting session at raffles hotel last saturday but i didn’t managed to make it as i was already running late and the cab i took decided to brake down… so in the end i went for brunch with Mr C, since he is looking for someone to brunch together at DOC Document of Caffeine which both of us wanted to try out. 🙂
Went for dinner with TK some times ago at chinatown point and as i was having craving for some sushi, we came across this GENKI Sushi which was newly open and decided to have that for dinner. Initially i thought that it’s nothing special but i was a little surprised with the way we were asked to order our sushi!
they uses a ipad mini for ordering and the graphics all very cute one leh~ i seriously think they did a really GOOD job in this! the whole experience was like so WOW~ hahaha~
I Love Staycation! especially when everything is FREE (other than the money you pay for the room)!!! I’ve been hearing people saying about how great it is to go on a staycation at Quincy Hotel as everything is inclusive in the amount you pay for your room. You get free breakfast, lunch dinner and mini bar too! So we decided to make us of the holiday in may (vesak day) and experience it for ourselves 😀
This duck rice was highly recommended by my bbf zw and local medias as well and he suggested us to try it out on one of our JB trip few week ago. I suppose singaporeans are aware of this stall as we saw quite a few singapore cars over there too.
I’ve heard about reviews of this place but i’ve yet to visit as i don’t drive and it’s quite inaccessible in some ways. But luckily i managed to visit this place on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago as this friend of mine, i shall call him KT, drives 😉
Really love the ambient of the restaurant as they are set up with very vintage and retro looking items. At the first glance, you would thought that they are selling vintage furniture instead of food hahaha~
What do you look for when coming to accommodation during your travel trips? I am sure most people goes for hotels right? Hotels can be rather pricey at times and if you are travelling alone or with a partner and would like to look for another alternative at a cheaper price, i guess a hostel will be good for you. Usually the first impression of a hostel will be very budget, very run down, not well maintained, have to share rooms with others etc, which is true as i have that impression too when it comes to hostel. BUT! after i went for my staycation at 5footway.inn Project Boat Quay, im quite impressed and that totally change my impression of a hostel.
For our last day at the hotel, after breakfast, we rest for a while in the room before heading down to the pool again to enjoy the sun, the water, the last few hours of our stay.
Following on my day 1 at equarius hotel, today is the day that all of us are super excited about as we are heading to Universal Studios Singapore!!! finally like a dream come true for me as i always wanted to visit the theme park because one of the ride that i wanna go on is the Jurassic park water raft ride. You may not know this but i’m actually quite a big fan of jurassic park ahahaha~ one of the best movies that i will not get tired watching again and again.
Okay enough said, here’s a pic that i took when i woke up in the morning from our balcony 😉 CHIO right?!
Finally a long awaited staycation! This gotta be one of the reason of why i’m so looking forward to in MAY, a sponsored staycation by Playboy Fragrance to be spent together with my BBFs and my first visit to Universal Studios Singapore!!! woohoo~~ *throw confetti*
Was randomly looking for a place to have our late dinner after swim and initially we wanted to visit a nice little cafe but too bad it’s closing in 30 mins time and we didn’t want to rush our food so we decided to change another venue. While walking back to the car, we noticed this “coffee shop” whereby there are Caucasian drinking wine, beer, eating pizza and pasta. That caught my attention and out of curiosity, we went to have a look and to realize that it’s actually a restaurant in a “coffee shop” setting.
Happy Friday everyone! :D not long ago i posted a Gwiyomi Hand action pic on instagram (Follow me if you haven do so :P
Whenever i walked pass this cafe located at level one of wisma, from the name Coffee Stars, i would think they its a nice cafe that sells cofffee, tea, cakes, pastries, waffles etc.. a perfect location for a afternoon tea or to chill-lax from the busy shopping in orchard road. BUT! i was wrong about it. :X soo sorry~ To my surprise, it’s actually a restuarant-cafe well know as Coffee Beans by Dao in thailand 🙂
Let’s see what they have to offer 🙂
Finally the much anticipated flagship phone after the predecessor of Samsung Galaxy S3, the brand new Samsung Galaxy S4 will be launching in Singapore on the 27th April. With the invitation from Samsung, i got a chance to have a hands on experience last week at the media launch held at Gardens By the Bay 😉
After my first meet-up with the other CG2013 bloggers previously at Thai Express, i’m looking forward to the next meet up and since it’s been SOOO long since i last went KTV, the moment i saw this invitation, i quickly rsvp for it.
I’m sure most of you know about K-Box right? its like a must go during my sec school days whereby we will usually go after school for lunch and to sing.. Throughout these years, KBOX expanded really fast and they’ve held numerous events like fans gatherings and more. And due to the high demand of KTVs, the price from KBOX seems to increase tremendously and it’s pretty expensive at times to go. So we switched to other cheaper alternatives. BUT, am glad to say that they are coming up with cheap prices once again! :DD
Visiting a nice chillax cafe on a weekend afternoon is what i always look forward to and im happy to have found this cafe located at Jalan Riang, Serangoon (on the same stretch as the cajun kings) which is well known for its waffles and root beer cake, Wimbly Lu 🙂 sounds like a person’s name hor~
A friend of mine brought me to this place which i didn’t know it exist, filled with nice restaurants and cafes along serangoon. Place wasn’t really accessible so it’s a bonus if u drives, but nothing gonna stop us from exploring this place! You can actually take a train to serangoon station and exit from exit F and walk a distance there. I’ve attached the map for ur reference lah~ got gan dong anot?
Finally after missing so many fun filled activies organized for the Community Games 2013 bloggers, i managed to schedule time for this makan session held at thai express, bugis+
Thai food has been one of my favourite cuisine as i love the spiciness and the herbs they used in their food so i was really looking forward to this food tasting session and at the same time to finally meet some of the CG2013 bloggers!
Healthy lifestyle, that’s what im hoping to attain and im trying to work towards, so my friend jio me on one of the sunday morning to go cycling. Hmm it’s been quite some time since i last went cycling, so i decided to join him. He loved to cycle as he can cycle all the way from sengkang to bedok and back again. hahaha~ anyway, i just wanna say that i was pretty amused that there’s such a nice place near where im staying at. Really a good place to cycle, to explore, to visit, but am not sure if it will still be the same after all the flats are built as the years goes by.. The photos taken below are from my galaxy note and it’s doing pretty good as the quality seems not bad. Pardon me for all those emo quotes, captions as it reflects best on myself now…
Hello readers! am back! a brand new me , a brand new self. I gonna be nice and treat myself even better from now onwards. 🙂 anyway that’s not the main purpose of this entry la.
I wanna introduce you guys this restaurant newly opened at chinatown point, not sure if they got other outlets anot but it’s my first time there. Secret Garden Restaurant. My first impression of the restaurant from the name was that they should be selling some kind of western food like pasta, steak etc but it’s actually a steamboat restaurant lor~
As we are having out lunch, we decided to have their lunch set menu instead of the steamboat. surprisingly the food taste not bad leh~ 😀 the set comes with a free drink of ur choice. This is one of the homemade tea flower tea if i remember correctly. *paiseh ah. i went for this during jan this year hahaha~
Company chinese new year lunch was settled at the newly renovated shopping mall, Chinatown Point which is now SO MUCH better than the best, with new restaurants and new shops! We decided to try out this teahouse which is supposed to be well known in hong kong and heard that the review of their food was pretty good. 🙂
Let’s see what vouchers will we be receiving?!
I fall under the 3rd category as im currently serving ORNS (meaning going through your reservist after ORD) and i will be entitled to $80 worth of SAFRA vouchers and a year’s FREE SAFRA MEMBERSHIP!!! okay that sounds pretty cool huh. So what are those vouchers that we will be receiving leh?
It ranges from a WHOLE LOT of categories from food to wellness, entetainment to travel and many more! Let me show you what are some of them!
Can’t believe that i’ve not been blogging for the past 10 days! sorry about that but no worries as im back again! 😛 Glad to meet up with my bbfs over the weekend and guess we decided to meet up at? Chinatown Point! It’s totally different now with alot more shops in there, and hopefully be able to attract more youngster too.
We had our late lunch at EAT AT TAIPEI and i still rmb the first time when i eat there for lunch with my colleagues, the ru rou fan 卤肉饭 was kinda disappointing. the type of meat they used wasn’t right, and the rice seems to be too soggy. :X So this time round, i decided to try the 炸酱面 and luckily, it taste sooo much better than the previous time. Loved the generous supply of greens and though it may not taste as flavorful as it should from the pic, adding in some chili sauce will add in a tinge of spicy to it, making the whole taste more complete.
Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2013 Official Blogger Happy New Year fellow readers! :D how did you spend you last hour of 2012? Gathering with friends,

Wee~ It’s the festive seasons and i had a few awesome Christmas parties for the past 2 weekends with all my loved ones! 😀 Kicking off with the first celebration, we went on a staycation at Capri by Fraser, located just right beside Changi City Point!
loved the ambience of the hotel. everything looks simple, clean, modern and the moment you stepped into the hotel, the tint of flower scent makes you feel really relaxed. Exactly what i’m looking for.. a relaxing staycation. By the way, for your info, this isn’t a sponsored staycation hor~ so what i wrote are really what i felt about this hotel. 🙂
My very first Christmas celebration this year was spent with my colleagues and boss as we went for our annual Christmas dinner at Red Dot Brew house located at Dempsey hill.
It’s my first time there and i noticed that whenever i visit Dempsey after work, it will rain for sure, making it extremely inconvenient for me to get that. BUT! surprisingly it didn’t rain this time round and weather was good, cooling and breezy~ 😀
Marina Bay Countdown 2013 Official Blogger As a official blogger of the Marina Bay Countdown 2013, i am very jin ze one okay! i try
Marina Bay Countdown 2013 Official Blogger *Waves* Hello! Together with the other 4 bloggers (Daddy M, The Cambelles, Daeng Rizam, Deenise Yang and myself ),
Super outdated entry 😛 but still im gonna post it! Didn’t managed to attend his birthday party as i was busy with the preparation of my bbfs wedding materials so both Juliana and i decided to give Calvin a belated birthday celebration over a simple dinner 😉
We had our dinner at ramen champion located at Bugis+, recommended by calvin and they seriously sell a WIDE variety of ramen from the different region in Japan!
Marina Bay, what’s came to your mind when you heard of this name? For me, marina bay is the place where i used to go for kite flying, super cheap steamboat bbq buffet whereby you always gets to hear pple screaming here and there (as the aluminum foil tends to catch fire very often) and a super inaccessible place. As singapore grows and throughout all the years, it changes, alot i would say.
This is supposed to be up like long ago and was thinking if i should post about it since it’s like 2 months ago? Had lunch with Juliana, since our workplace are pretty near each other, we went for salad at the SPR.MRKT located just opposite Amoy Street Food Centre.
Totally love the concept of this small little restuarant, or i would say cafe where they sell food, and cute little items whereby you can shop ard while waiting for your food to be served.
Any bread lovers out there? Love eating healthy? Then you will definitely be interested with what i’m going to introduce to you!
Organic sprouted bread from Olive & Green!
What’s so special about these bread ?
Olive & Green’s Organic Sprouted Breads are made with their signature Hippocrates Organic Exra Virgin Olive oil and organic sprouted wheat, which made these breads 100% vegan and contain much more nutrients than any other type of bread currently sold in the market! There isn’t any sugar, garlic or onions added to it. All the breads are naturally sweetened with organic fruits, Jordan dates & nuts. Yumm Yumm~~
This is a warming to those whom are feeling hungry at the moment as you might just hate me even more for posting this entry at this hour and bombing you with all the FOOD images! 😛
ALOHA!!! Didn’t know that other than ma maison, there is another restaurant by the name of ALOHA Ma Maison (under the same group) and it’s located at the newly opened bugis+ (formerly known as Iluma)
Loved the decor of the restaurant! very nicely done~~
Sponsored Trip by Korea Tourism Organization
Counting down to less than 24 hours, I am going to FLY over to KOREA once again! woohoo~ and this time round, i will be going on a 2D1N tour at gyeongju and the most important part is to attend the Gyeongju Hallyu Dream Concert featuring a total of 26 KPOP artistes~! 😀
Just to list a few of the artistes below that will be performing at the concert. Any of them your favourite? let me know, i will snapped more photos for you! hahaha~
I’m not a alcoholic person if you know me well, i mean i do drink occasionally but im not one whom will go to any pub or bar that frequently just to drink and chill. Usually i drink only when there’s like special occasion? Birthday, dinner etc..
So the other day, visited a wine shop with my fren which he introduced me to and i couldn’t believe that i actually tried a total of 5 bottles of wine that night. I think i must be crazy! lol~ Before i continue on what happened, let me introduce you more about this wine shop 😉
I’m sure you guys are very familar with this word ZALORA right? their ads can be found almost EVERYWHERE online! So~ as a shopaholic and one whom love shopping online, how can i give it a miss right?! So, one fine day, i decided to click on the banner and go on a shopping journey on Zalora!
Once again! went on a short short trip into JB with my bbfs! this time round with Zhiwei’s new car!! woohoo~ and driving into JB is SUPER convenient lor! bascially you don’t have to leave your car at all. Just stay in the car, pass your passport to the immigration officer at both singapore and malaysia custom will do.. paiseh ah~ am abit sua ku~~~
Recently i just blogged about the Diner En Blanc that will be happening on the 30th Aug, next thursday. Was initially very looking forward to it and was stressing on my outfit for this event as i wanna look as good in all white as well. BUT looks like i dun really have to stress that much about it anymore.
So we are now all OFFICIALLY being UNINVITED. It makes no difference to me whether they invite me or not la. Just wanna take this opportunity to meet up with all my blogger friends and have a great time enjoying ourselves at the event.
This year, i organised a total of 2 birthday party, with 2 different themes, at 2 different location with 2 different groups of friends. You SHOULD have already read about my first party with my BBFs at hard rock hotel. If not, read it here “Party Like A Kpop Star”.
The second birthday party was celebrated after my actual day as they were busy during that period of time, therefore i pushed it backwards. Booked a room at Amara hotel for the party, themed : SUMMER BLUE! whereby everyone have to come in BLUE!!! one of my favourite color~!
Special thanks to Gardens by the bay for the invitation, i finally managed to visit this beautiful garden located just right behind marina bay sands!
was there early to go on a tour around gardens by the bay as most of the other gardens by the bay official bloggers had already went for their tour. Was to busy and didn’t get to attend for the past few events, so this time round, no matter what i must definitely go for it!
It’s really a very good location for taking photos! everything seems soo surreal!
It’s been a tiring day at work after a long long meeting and you are looking for a nice place away from the buzzling city to chill for the night? or clinching on to a buisness proposal which you’ve been working hard on and would like to celebrate for all the hard work you’ve put in? or looking for a place to hold a mini gathering together with your loved ones or long lost friends?
Let me introduce you this place which is located away from the city, in a quaint little nook just off the new and very hip Dempsey catchment of F&B establishments.
Backyard @ Dempsey!
our menu for the night! what a spread right?!
Special thanks to Marina Bay Singapore, Marina Bay Sands and Skypark for the invitation, i got to go up to the skypark last saturday for a wonderful, breath-taking and memorable fireworks display for the ndp preview! I’ve always wanted to go up to the skypark and thanks to them, i managed to fulfill my wish! next will be the infinity pool! haha 😛
Singapore really changed alot. The skyline is just SOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!
Have you ever cook for your family or your loved ones? It can be a very simple meal, don’t have to be something very sumptuous. Most importantly is the thoughts that counts 😉
Not long ago, Daniel Ang from Danielfooddiary started this blogger initative to cook for family during the month of July and i’m glad to be part of it.
I’ve always wanted to hold a mini party in a nice hotel room with my loved ones the past few years, but due to budget constraint, i didn’t manage to do so. Finally this year i can have one party held in a hotel room! 😀 something im looking forward to and pretty excited about 😉
Theme for the party was decided ard 2 months ago, which is “Party Like A Kpop Star” and in order to fit into this theme, i decided to book a room at Hard Rock Hotel 😉 totally fit into the theme right?
Right after deciding on the venue, we need some food to go along right? SO~~ i catered PERKIES for the party since all my friends loved it! 😀 *ps: we’ve been craving for it ever since the last time we tried it a few months ago~
Alright! So we have everything settled, the day for the party finally arrived!
Just before i went for my annual ICT, i went for a short short one day trip with my bbfs to JB! basically just to go in relax, makan, shop abit as stuff over there are so much cheaper than in singapore 😉 Another reason of heading in was because my bbfs are looking for a printer shop over there to print their wedding card invitation.
So we meet up as usual in the morning for breakfast at mac donald at causeway point before taking a bus to the checkpoint.

It’s been soo long since i last have a cha ba lang blogging entry! 😀 anyone missing it? So i’ve been kinda busy recently (like forever busy) but i do try to balance between work and leisure at the same time, so as to have a healthy lifestyle 😀
Met up with my amblove quite often for the past few weekends. We had dinner together at lenas followed by desserts.

Itinerary for the day is much less hectic than the other 2 days as we will be focusing more on SHOPPING today! and to celebrate mother’s day as well 😉 (mother’s day falls on the next day.)
Starting our late breakfast with oyster mee sua! 阿忠面綫！
Continuing on my DAY 2 taiwan trip and we woke up at ard 8am in the morning as it will be another fully packed day 😀

Flight was at 1am and we will be arriving taipei at 6am in the morning (i know it’s freaking early la~).
It's the annual Singapore Star Awards once again, WAIT, erms i meant Singapore Blog Awards is back again! :D actually it's really like the

HELLO READERS!! got miss me ma? haha~ okay!! im back from my taiwan trip and it was really a super memorable one!! Give me sometime as i prepare those pictures ive taken for the trip before sharing them over here with you guys ~ ;D
SO the memorable part is this, i GOT TO MEET S.H.E IN PERSON!!! that’s like their very first public appearance together with SELINA after 1 and a half years! SUPER GAN DONG the moment i saw the three of them together and most importantly SELINA!! *eyes turning red now.. :'(*
As i needa update those pictures on our fc blog, i’ve managed to edit these images first and since these images are ready, i shall share with you guys on this event first! ;D
It was pretty rushing for us as we have a evening flight to catch and we needa leave to the airport at 4.30pm. Event starts officially at 2pm and will probably end ard 3.30 to 4pm but we still decided to give it a try..
Flying off in another few hours time to taiwan!!! Not flying alone or with friends this time round but with my parents!!! YES! bringing them to taiwan and i’m super excited as this is our first OFFICIAL overseas trip since the last one like many many years ago~ hahaha! 😀
okay~ will blog about my trip when i’m back! the main purpose of this entry is to post some pics of myself so that you guys won’t missed me too much while my blog go stagnant when im away ;P (super buay hiao bye now :X)
I felt so happy writing this entry as i was really glad that this trip was made possible! It’s been SOOO long since we last travel together! the last trip we went together was last year april to bali. SO, we decided to make use of this 得來不易的 long weekend to go somewhere near, which is JB for a 2D1N eat and shop trip ! 😉
As it was a good friday that we are heading in to JB, we expected there to be heavy traffic. Therefore we decided to meet up early at causeway point early in the morning for breakfast before we head over to the singapore custom. we took a bus from woodlands bus interchange to the custom whereby we were requested to drop a distance away from the custom as the jam was really bad..
Here’s my last entry for my 4D3N Bali trip with amblove. Basically on the third day, we decided to fully utilized our villa and to visit the beach nearby. How can you not visit the beach when you are in bali right?
Breakfast as usual was awesome. Tried something different today, which is the pancake with banana 🙂
So continuing from my day 1 entry, let’s continue with day 2! 🙂 Staying in a villa was super shiok as early in the morning when u wake up, breakfast are ready and all u have to do is just to sit down and eat. felt like a boss sia~ or i would say KING! hahaha~
Finally i’m blogging about this! my first overseas trip with my amblove and my first Villa stay as well! Too much things on hand to do that i’ve no choice but to postpone this entry all the way till now :X so let’s begin! 🙂 We met up with each other at the airport in the morning as we have a morning flight to catch.
Daisy & Caijun made a surprise appearance at the airport to join us for breakfast and at the same time to send us off~ Seriously felt SUPER LOVED lo!! thanks for waking up so early and the effort of coming down to send us off~ 😀
SO SORRY that i’ve not been updating my blog recently as i’m really busy with work plus i get kinda tired recently which i dunno why. try sleeping early but still feel kinda tired the next day morning. energy level is like always not full, the most 70% only~
but anyway, i felt guilty for not updating this space of mine for 6 days~ that’s like almost a week!!! my god~! so i die die pull myself up early in the morning to edit some pictures and update some stuff over here. if not it look sibei stagnant sia~
Here’s some pictures taken with my bbfs for the past few weeks 😉 it’s always fun meeting up with them! we can meet up to chill and zhor bor~ or go for ktv, or endless makan session in a day! haha~
KTV at teo heng… the day i dyed my hair as well.. so you can see my hair looked alittle brownish blond.. that’s me and peiwen..
Have you guys seen this advertisement on the paper or heard it through the radio recently?
Was invited by Standard Chartered last week for an AWESOME iFLY experience at sentosa and at the same time to check out what they have that will make us go WOW~
Met up with Alvinology at vivo city before heading into sentosa.
Special thanks to F&N, i manged to attend Super Junior Super Show 4 Singapore concert on Saturday, which is the very first night of the concert 😉 It’s my second KPOP concert, the first one was SHINee’s concert last year and i must really say that their concert never fail to impress me!
So here’s where im seated…
Knew about this porter bag of joy last year but didn’t manage to make it for the sale event. SO, this year, since im on a LONG LONG cny holiday leave, i registered for the VIP priority queue and im lucky enough to be issued one! 😉
the queue for the priority when i arrived at porter wisma outlet… There’s another queue on the other side for the public and it’s longer than this lor~ Privilege of the priority queue was you get to purchase the bag of joy first from 9.30 to 11.30am while the public can only start purchasing from 12pm onwards! 😉
Went for the titanic exhibition with my amblove during the chinese new year at the art science museum. Was kinda surprised that that lotus or buddha palm can hold SUCH A HUGE exhibition lo~ and true enough, the exhibition was kinda impressive leh! 😉
#outfit of the day… this shirt of mine is damn cheap, only $8! bought in bangkok 🙂
It’s my first time dining here and it was recommended by calvin, so i’m sure it’s gonna be good! 😉 Loved the ambient of the restaurant too!
we started off with the yu sheng which caters for 3 to 4 pax… and the servings was really huge!
HAHA~! my title for this entry sounds like some variety show sponsored by CP. but it’s true la, though not a show, but i was given a few items from CP to review on!
Was kinda lazy to head out for lunch on one of the afternoon and luckily, there’s CP in my fridge! so i decided to have SHRIMP WONTON IN TOMYUM SOUP for lunch! 😀
It’s a long long holiday for me as my company decided to shut down for the whole week, so i’m pretty free throughout the whole week!
so on the 4th day of chinese new year, i went down to omy.sg to visit my old colleagues and to collect my prize, a canon SX230HS camera which i’ve won from the hong kong contest! missed it? read about it here!
Tried making reservation for yum cha and was informed that reservations allowed only for 8 pax and above.. so we decided to try out luck when we visited chinatown for cny shopping spree and surprisingly, NO QUEUE at all and we managed to get a table very smoothly! 😀 awesome! mum was really happy as she was having a bad craving for yum cha dim sum ! haha~!
Initally we only decided to go for the hotel breakfast for one of the morning but in the end, we went for 2 consecutive days! 😀 basically becos there’s nothing much ard out hotel to eat for breakfast and since the breakfast was kinda good, we don’t mind having it again! 😀
Yoohoo! the post that u guys are waiting for is here! my very first travelogue for the year of 2012~!
We went for our company retreat to bangkok this time round (last year was hong kong) and i was really excited about it! it’s been more than 2 years since i last went bkk and i seriously have no idea why it took me 2 years later to head back there again! it’s like a shopping, massaging heaven for all! u can read about my 1st trip to bangkok over here (*ps: that’s where i first got really drunk! lolx)
Yoohoo! excited about my first travelogue for the year of 2012? i'm still in the midst of editing the pics before i start publishing
Have you ever wonder that you can actually make good use of the time you spent while waiting for public transport, the traffic light to go green, your food to be served, or friends that always tends to be late during meetups?

Yoohoo! i guess this is one of u readers favourite topic right? since i saw so many search results with regards to hairstyling for men directed to my site.
This is how my current hairstyle looks like and sometimes when i get bored of it, i intend to try a different way of styling it.so here’s a total of 3 different styles i made plus my current one will be four. 😉
2011 is coming to an end and it’s the time of the year to do a compilation of the MUST-READ Blog Entries for 2011 on Darren Bloggie now! :)’
It’s been really an awesome year for me! Went on quite a few overseas trips this year, from genting to bali to hong kong to taiwan and JAPAN! 😀 attended my very first KPOP concert which is SHINEE World concert, had a few staycation from fairmont, the regent, marina bay sands, hard rock, five stones hostel to the recent fullerton hotel!
So let me show you how i spent a awesome 2011 from the entries below! ;D
Gotta quickly publish this entry before 2011 ends in a few more days! So this year christmas celebration was rather simple one, no special party theme nor any very expensive gifts 🙂
outfit for the day and my center-parting hair? how isit? ok ma?
Meet up with my bbfs for a dinner session at LENAS to catch up with one another, at the same time to spread the joy of christmas! 😉
Finally managed to visit FOOD FOR THOUGHT after several attempts of making reservations for past gatherings which didn’t get through.
The first time i read about them was on Alvin’s blog and i was super tempted to try that curry chicken cutlet that he recommended 😀
Just for your info, this is not an advert or wat, just something that i would like to share with you guys! DAISO is my favourite shopping place, like seriously~ haha. Went for a short shopping spree with my mum the other day and we spent like 70 bucks? but it’s worth it as we got ourselves alot of stuff. One of them are the stuff i bought to DIY a christmas tree! 😀
So, here’s what i bought…
- christmas tree (the main thing)
- 5 decorative ornaments (if u have extra budget cos this help to fill up those empty space of the xmas tree)
- LED light (can get 2 packs if u want if u prefer to have more lighting on ur xmas tree)
- some decorative ornaments (not show in the pic as i forgot to took pic of it :X)
Went for KTV session with amblove sometime ago and we had lots of fun 😉 be it seating there, not singing, but listening to those PRO singer singing is more than enough le. haha ;D they all can sing VERY well!
Ok purpose of this post is just to upload some images la~ we went for a chill lax session after dinner at cold stone creamery! my second time having it since my first time trying out the ice cream in taiwan.
Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2012 Featured Blogger 2011 is coming to an end soon and have you made any new year resolutions for the upcoming
Thanks to Smith, i managed to grab a chance to bring 2 of my amblove onto the specially christmas decorated bus for a journey of indulge with haagen dazs! but sadly to say, it was raining that day, therefor we didn’t managed to get the open roof outdoor seat.
Leading Korean Skincare label, Skin79, recently developed a range of products to help restore youth heath and vitality to the skin and i’m really glad to receive 2 products from them to try on 😉
Received this iPhone casing from iVault.sg the other day and i changed it on immediately upon receiving it!
This Tunewear EGGSHELL for iPhone 4S is light but strong enough to protect your phone. polycarbonate case gives your device all the protection it needs without adding bulk and weight. It’s only 0.75mm thick!
Let’s see what’s packed in the box 🙂
finally!~ i get to visit this P.S cafe that alot of people are saying about. Was looking for a place to chillax after our movie session and since we have car for the night, why not visit some places that basically not very public transport accessible right?
So.. we decided to visit demsey hill! 😉 and one of my bbf managed to snap a pic with fandi ahmad. i dun have a pic here as it’s taken with his camera.
It’s really a very nice ambience to chill at! 😀 personally i like it very much.
I’m really thankful that my hair is finally back to the length that i wanted it to be… after a torturous haircut in july for my ICT, i looked super duper NOOB and seriously i hate to have that kind of hairstyle as it just dun suit me~! You know that different face shape suit different hairstyle de ma~ and i agree that my face is not that SHARP and i dun have nice feature, soo… those super short hair just dun fit me la~
But what to do? Just because of a ICT, we are forced to cut till like ah gong ah tooo. Argh~ after 2 years of haunting us, you still won’t let us off~ A personal image is VERY important in the working industry. Imagine you have to cut a super GONG hairstyle just for that ICT and when you head back to work and need to meet ur client with that GONG hairstyle of yours, i tell you, totally cannot make it la~!
SO why torture us to cut our hair THAT freaking short just like what we have during our ns days?! can’t it be like a acceptable haircut, not too fancy etc kind will do? i dun mind dying my hair back to black for ict cos i can dye it back to color anytime i want and most importantly, its INSTANT! not like hair that takes a freaking few weeks or months to grow!!!
ARGH~! i just can’t stop ranting about this stupid thing that we needa do. OK~ so here’s how i look like when i went for my ict.
It bonding time with my boss and colleagues! One of my colleagues make it through the probation period and we went for company dinner together at Kushin Bo buffet located at Great World City.
Surprisingly, i didn’t eat alot!!! i only went for like 3 mini rounds before i end with some pastries and dessert. but that colleague of mine loved buffet! he can go for many rounds~!
*outfit of the day with my porter bag which i’ve bought in taiwan ;)*
Yoohoo! ok~ i know im not very hardworking recently as i’ve fallen sick and didn’t managed to publish at least a post a day. and finally, i managed to get one up today 😉
Met up with army buddies for dinner recently at the manhattan fish market and waraku.
Trying out my camera from Canon and i super love the toy camera effect ;P
Gonna combine my day 3 and 4 into one entry as i didn’t take much pictures for these two days. AND YES! you will get to see my shopping loots in this entry as i know you guys are always very curious with my shopping loots overseas. LOLx 😛
So, here’s my outfit for day 3~
Gd MORNING! Day 2 was a tiring and hectic one as we will be visiting a few places and spending quite a fair bit of time on traveling. SO… we needa have a PROPER breakfast right!
before that, a pic of my outfit for the day 😉
Yoohoo! If you guys still remember, i went for a 7 days 6 nights taiwan trip last august with my bbfs right? We had so much fun then and this year, i brought my mum and aunties for a shorter yet quite fulfilling 4 days 3 nights taiwan trip!
Early flight in the morning and we meet up 2 hours earlier before the flight for check-in and breakfast…
Sponsored Trip by F&N Sparkling Drinks
Last entry for my Tokyo trip. Woke up early as usual without breakfast as we are leaving for the airport. Took the airport express bus from the hotel to narita airport and it cost us ard 30 bucks for the transport.

There’s actually 3 different restuarant for you to have your breakfast at with the breakfast coupon and since it’s a really sunny bright day, we decided to have our breakfast at the Manhattan Table, which is located at 25F with a spectacular view of the city! 😀
Sponsored Trip by F&N Sparkling Drinks
Before i start my post proper, i gonna thanks F&N Sparkling Drinks for sponsoring this trip!!!
If you are a loyal reader or “fans” of my blog, you will know that i actually won the Spread the Groove title from the Spread the Groove Blogging Challenge organized by F&N sparkling Drinks for the Singapore Dance Delight 2011. Thanks to marlene, whom booked a room at the regent hotel 2 weeks ago for a staycation together with amblove and at the same time to celebrate her 21st birthday 😉
with my super chio travel bag by zuij.com.sg ;D
Recently, i was randomly searching online about transforming black iphone into white iphone… and i came across this much more cheaper way of transformation 😀
So i did some research and managed to find the online store which is on gmarket. Here’s the link, don’t say i nvr say yea~ 😛
and here’s what you get from them.
it comes with a front and back white sticker, a customized screen protector and a piece of cloth or watever u call that as.
So this is how u paste the stickers onto your phone. (i took on video but sadly to say, the file was corrupted and i can’t redo the whole process again… -.-“)
and here’s my end product! 😀
Not sure if you guys are aware that i was one of the M1 Blackberry Ambassador for the past 2 and a half months, but the main purpose of this post was to share with you guys on my experience as a M1 Blackberry Ambassador, which sadly to say, wasn’t a pleasant one…
In May 2011, i was really excited when i was notified that i was being selected as a M1 Blackberry ambassador. Details given at first was that being a MBA (in short for M1 Blackberry Ambassador cos very tiring to type out the whole name yea!), you will receive
Sounds exciting isn’t it?!
So i happily attended the briefing at Intercontinental but was somehow getting alittle disappointed after the training programme. We aren’t really being “selected” as the MBA as we need to hit a certain quota of SALES. OK, that makes me sounds more like a salesman than a ambassador. (From my knowledge, a ambassador is to use the products and share it with friends and the public right?) but sadly to say, we needa hit a quota of 25 sales in order for us to stay in the MBA programme.
BUT luckily we dun have to pay anything for the monthly bill and the handset.
Now here’s my FIVE disappoinment :
I’m a herbal soup lover and usually i loved the herbal soup that my aunt cooked! I know some of you out there dislike the herbal taste right? but do u know that herbal soup are actually very good for our health?
Different herbals used in the soup have different nutritional values in it. Examples of the most commonly used herbals are :
After watching this year ndp2011, i think overall not that bad la.. but i dunno why they included songs from wonder girls and justin bieber.. but luckily there didn’t change the lyrics. imagine another fun pack song, i will faint lo~
seriously every year, what i look forward to is the NDP songs! to me, it’s something very important and it’s like the spirit to the whole NDP celebration theme.
“HOME” by kit chan is the best NDP song ever and im sure everyone knows about it right?
and other than this, my next favourite one will be
OK i know this post is kinda overdue and i know YOU (aaron yan’s fan si out there are waiting for the pics here right?) SO here it is.. not alot of pics as i only pick up those that are better ones and PLEASE!! credit accordingly if you are using any of the images below, be it post it on facebook, twitter, blog, forums etc… as long as u use it, u credit it ok? 😉 i trust u guys therefor im not adding in any watermarks for the pics below.
Autograph session was held at IMM level 3 garden plaza and it’s been quite some time since we last do a event already.. therefore im kinda looking forward to it and phew.. it was a successful one 😉
my last part of my Fintage1986 Birthday celebration ends with my amblove (yes amblove once again). The theme set previously was summer edition as we intend to go for picnic but due to time constriction as we wanted to catch the NDP preview fireworks, we decided to have early dinner instead of picnic. BUT~ it’s still summer edition as we everyone was supposed to be dressed in fintage or summer look… but actually i dun mind them not dressing accordingly as i know it’s not easy for everyone to have the clothings that fit perfectly well into the theme 😉 SEE i so shang jie ren yi lo! muahahaha~
Special thanks to my amblove for this wonderful birthday treat! ;D 2D1N stay at Hard Rock Hotel , Resort World Sentosa!!!
Earlier of the day they had lots of fun at the Universal Studios while i work hard in office as it was my first day back in office after being away for one whole week due to my in camp training, so decided not to take a day leave to join them as im sure there’ll be lots of stuff to clear in office.
Had my birthday celebration with my family members (my mum and my aunties) right after i ended my 5 days ICT 2 weeks ago… Felt really relaxing that day as everything was nicely planned for me! previously i was the one planning for my 3 aunties birthday celebration (will be blogging about it soon) and this time round it’s their turn to plan~ haha~
They made a reservation at Hotel Royal, Jade Room Restaurant for their famous steamboat buffet (according to what my mum told me and the taxi uncle whom drove us there).
Yoo~! Tell me what’s so special about the month of August other than National Day?
It’s My BIRTHDAY!!!
Floral + Vintage + 1986 (my birth year) = Fintage1986 😉
and we went for dinner at the manhattan fish market located at marina square as i think it’s less crowded over there. But anyway, thanks to my super efficient bbf, Diana Lim, she make a reservation before hand 😀
YOOHOO! All my beloved readers, friends, bloggers and followers! I’m really happy as i’ve WON something from the Singapore Blog Awards 2011 this year!
DEAL.com.sg BEST SHOPPING BLOG
Thank you so much for all the supports given! I’ll do another proper post to thank all of you yea!~
Meanwhile, i shall blog about the ceremony with the pictures i have on hand first. Will be updating this entry with new pics once i’ve gotten them 🙂
Was really glad and happy that i’m able to attend the ceremony last Saturday (23rd July) at Shanghai Dolly!
We were kinda late for like 10 mins? but luckily there are still pple queuing up at the registration counter.
So i’m sure you must be thinking what tripple “D” am i referring to right? The tripple “D” refers to Drink.Drank.Drunk… We had a farewell dinner for one of my colleague, Joey and at the same time a welcoming dinner for my new colleague which will be replacing her at Brewerkz. My very first time visiting there and it’s really a place for pple whom loved to drink… beer.
We always love to chill at coffee bean or starbucks whenever we meet up for dinner, be it on a weekday or weekend.
Other than chit chatting, gossiping and catching up with one another, another very
“important” activity that we will do is to play with our iphone.. and we are all addicted to Fishing Joy!
Celebrated my aunty birthday at early June and we went for hi-tea buffet at Olive Tree Restaurant, located at Intercontinental Singapore. The reason why i chose this place was because i got to tried out some of their food during my M1 Blackberry ambassador briefing there last month.
Food was actually so so.. not really that much of variety to choose from, though they have some very special dishes in the buffet spread. examples like…
BAK KUT TEH!!! surprisingly good! peppery enough. I LIKE!
Always love late night outing with bbfs! this time round it was actually quite a impromptu last min suggestion and we decided to go for Shi sha session at haji lane… though i seldom smoke shi sha la.. but i can still order a drink and chill the night away with my bbfs, chit chatting, playing card games etc ma~
That night was kinda horrible la.. we played true or
dare and hmm discuss quite explicit content that night too. shall not elaborate much on that. LOLx~
Yoohoo! It’s Cha Ba Lang Blogging time! these images was taken like a month ago and was supposed to be published like quite some time ago but i only managed to do so NOW! haha~ better to be late than never ma~
Lunch set meal at Pura Vida. Ard $10+ per person which includes a salad OR soup, a drink, a main course of your choice. We ordered the fish & chips. Not bad. got the hoe garden taste haha~
Continue from my day 3 post, after heading back to my room and took a damn shiok hot water bath, i felt totally refreshed and awake! So, i decided to lay all my shopping loots out on the bed and snap some pics 🙂 that’s what i will usually do when i travel overseas 😉
Rise & Shine! It’s Day 3 of our Hong Kong trip and we are dedicating our day for SHOPPING today! woohoo~! 😀
Outfit for the day… wear something simple so it’s easier for you to do shopping, especially when you needa try on clothings and stuff 😉
after almost a week from my day 1 post, i’ve finally completed my day 2 images and videos! Ok, my day 2 in hong kong is the most packed, tiring BUT FUN day as we went to 2 major attractions there, which is the Big Buddha and DISNEYLAND!!!
*tips : you should totally dedicate one FULL day for disneyland. half day in disneyland is definitely not enough!*
outfit for the day! sponsored by VHOGE.com (website will be up soon) THANKS!
My second trip of the year and it’s really like a dream come true for me as i’ve been wanting and hoping to go for a trip to hong kong. I wanna go there 买东西吃东西，and most importantly to visit the Disneyland!!! it’s like i think the cheapest disneyland you can go to ba. Anyway, i shall talk more about disneyland when i post my entry about it .
So, this is a company trip, sponsored by my boss (THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!) and i was really very excited, happy and looking forward to the trip ! never thought that there will be a company trip for me as well hahaha~ 😀
Flying off on thursday morning 5th May, exactly 2 weeks after i’m back from my bali trip and it’s my first time flying off from terminal 3! wee~~
yoohoo! i’m back in singapore already and this post was actually meant to be published while im away in hong kong, BUT! i got no time to write the entry and schedule it (all pics i prepare and upload hao hao before i left sg le leh~), therefore i’m writing it now.. belated mother’s day post, ok right?
SO… last last weekend, brought my mum and aunties to this Teochew Swatow Seafood located at toa payoh for dinner.
Finally at last, got to try out and visit this, i would say rather nice and chilling dining cafe by the name of 15 mins, located at lasalle art school 😉
It was really a very last minute plan for a surprise celebration for the taurus babies in my bbfs as we just got back from bali not long ago, and we didn’t have much time with the planning. SO.. i decided to plan on and given a short period of time (1 day plus) to plan.. we manged to come out with something. JUST THAT… too bad.. the surprise failed eventually hahaa. my bbfs are all too smart le la~!
okok.. enough of my long story… Now, let me show you what’s we’ve ordered there 😉
WOOHOO~~ did i mention that i just had my haircut?! if u follow me on twitter, you will know la. Anyway.. i seriously loved my current hairstyle.. what you think? nice? looks better?
Nvm if you say not LOL! cos its my hair and not urs! ( joking la 😛 ) so… since i got a new haircut, how can i not take pics to share with u readers right? and this time round, tried studio alike self portrait.. *take note : i say studio alike and NOT studio self portrait ah~*
was thinking of using one of them for my new blog header, therefore i’m seeking you to help me decide which to use, since you guys will be the one seeing this pic most of the time whenever you visit my blog.
HARLO!! got missed me anot?! hahaha~ okok~ im back from bali and it’s really a wonderful and relaxing trip la~ but nope, i’m not going to blog about my bali trip yet as im still in the midst of filtering and editing those pictures 😉 BUT!! i’ve prepared another post ! 😉
Last sunday, celebrated aaron’s birthday at sentosa, which is one week earlier as both me and jia xin will not be around in singapore on the actual day.
Phew, finally managed to get this post done before i leave for bali. okok, let’s start now!~
2nd April, Sat, the day where we’ll be performing together with ella on the stage of the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2011! We really considered ourselves as some superstar/artists ok! We booked ourselves a total of 3 rooms at Fairmont Hotel for a night!
If you know the entertainment industry well, usually those artistes will be checked into a hotel room for preparartion before heading for a ceremony right? So, we must also do the same ma~! we also needa 梳妆打扮! haha~
After having our dinner at the Kallang leisure park, (not very satisfying food from the food court), we proceed over to the singapore indoor stadium to meet up with our members whom are going on stage as we are going to have a rehearsal with
ELLA!! YES! YOU HEARD ME RIGHT! muahahaha~!
WOOHOO! i’m still feeling extremely excited when i write about this entry! BUT i shall get into topic before you guys start complaining!
So, on 1st april, we went over to the airport in the morning for ella’s arrival in singapore! yes, no april fool joke ok~
Look at the crowd !
We are very supportive one ok~ we do not care whether if they are coming individually or as a group, we will still go to the airport and welcome there. That’s how united the S.H.E fans are!~
While waiting for her arrival, we bought a box of pandan cake and decided to arrach a short message on it and pass it to her 🙂
OK! you might laugh at me or say why im so sua kuu.. nvr eat at the manhattan fish market before… BUT!! I DUN CARE~ haha~ but seriously la~ it’s true! i always eat at Fish & Co and i was ranting about it the other day about this..
SOO… my amblove decided to have dinner there last week! 😀
it’s been so long since my last cha ba lang blogging entry.. i think more than a month BA~! obviously u guys can tell how committed and hardworking i am with all my F&N blog entries right? hahaha
But no worries as Cha Ba Lang blogging is BACK AGAIN!!! *throw confetti*
Tree.D, a place that we almost visit everyday after lunch to grab our drinks at. We should seriously get some VIP card or wat for this! haha~
This is one overdue post as i’m very busy with all my F&N entries recently.. SO! today, we shall take a break from F&N entries and let me blog about something else yea~
So, this post is dedicated to one of my amblove, Shi Hui as we decided to give her a birthday surprise 😉
We decided to plan a kite flying session on one of the weekend but to make her feel sianz… we told her told most of us couldn’t make it.. haha! but we are actually planning something for her 😉
Our plan was to write her name and paste it on the kite, fly the kite and let her spot her name in the sky!
12th March 2011 A date that all the 20 finalists are looking forward to. A date where 800 youth gathered at Wave House Sentosa to
This is one extremely outdated entry and i’ve decided to blog about it first and share with you guys on my first fine dining experience while waiting for more images to come.
Had a great dining experience at Nazt Bistro Lounge, located along Club Street for our company chinese new year reunion dinner.
Totally loved the ambience of the restaurant and since the name was named as Nazt, you can find bird cages as part of the decoration in the restaurant~
This is also another quite backdated post liao. This chillout session was one that i’m extremely looking forward to as it’s been very very long since i last met up with my bbfs le.. and i’m MISSING them so much! It was supposed to be a complete BBFs meet up but rachel got chingay to watch so she didn’t make it for this. 🙁
Finally i managed to get myself a iphone 4 and i know you guys must be saying in ur mind : “wahlao. it not a new phone anymore and it’s launched like so long ago plus iphone 5 coming out soon le, why still get a iphone 4?”
BUT i DON”T CARE! MUAHAHA~!
Actually i seriously think that this is the best timing to get a iphone 4 now because:
I’m not sure if you guys have watched this 2 videos circulating around the internet, especially on facebook on valentine’s day where these 2 couples decided to end their relationship on this very “Special” day. SO GUM right?
The moment i watched these videos, the first thing that came to my mind is that, omg! everything is sooo faked la..
Before i continue to list down the reasons, you guys should watch it first.
It’s Cha Ba Lang Blogging TIME!!!
Yu sheng.. i guessed most of you ate that during the chinese new year right? and i’m sure most of u ate it for like more than once hor?! For me, i ate a total of 3 yu shengs this year, which i think isn’t alot as there are pple eating more than 10 yu shengs lo!
My first yu sheng was with my cousins during our dinner on chu san. not bad, quite nice.
actually in the past, i dun really like to eat yu sheng cos there is this ginger slices or taste in it and most of the time, i will just eat the crispy thingy… but dunno why, now i quite addicted to it… haha!
Every year, it’s always a must for us, OR me i would say to decorate our home with those ANG GONG GONG chinese new year decorations.. Like that then got the xi qi yang yang feel ma~ Correct?
So, we will usually head down to the chinatown cny pasar malam and look ard for the new designs of the year and we will go to the neighborhood area to hunt for the similar decorations as they are selling it much more cheaper than those in chinatown. BUT, if it’s already very cheap in chinatown, we will just buy it there la~
OH! another thing to take note, do not buy too much of those decorations with the zodiac of the year images on it as u can like use for one time nia~ unless u want to keep it for a cycle and use it again… SIAO EH!
OK! Now.. i shall show u some of my home decorations for the chinese new year~~ 😉
My very first ang pow for the lunar new year was given from my boss! wooohooo~~! very very simple reunion dinner with my parents. though
15th Jan, the day that we’ve been waiting for is finally here! as we are all extremely excited for HEBE music showcase in singapore! woohoo~~~
Meet up with some of the amblove at bugis to collect our lightsticks and since we are in bugis, how can we not get a cup of KOI!?
HAHAHA~ the title of the post is very obvious that this is going to be a entry on my new haircut right? and Chinese New Year is coming soon, therefore it’s time to get a new haircut..
As my previous hair was rather THICK (though i quite like it) but i’m thinking of trying out something different, yet dun wan to spoil the style of my current hairstyle… So i discuss with my hairstylist on what i want and how i want it to be like…
Here’s some pics of my thicker hair~~~ as it’s getting too thick, i uses black pins and pinned up the inner area of my hair, so that at least there is a shape there.. and it look like this.
looks alittle boring right?
It’s been soo long since we went out for a proper dinner, therefore, i’ve decided to give my parents a treat that night. We went for dinner at PuTien 莆田as my mum is craving for their lor mee ever since she ate it for the first time, she fell in love with it~ and at the same time my dad wanted to try it as well since my mum had been telling him how nice it is.. haha~
and here it is.. the famous lor mee from 莆田…

Hopefully its not too late for me to blog about my countdown celebration now. haha.
On the last day of 2010, had a new year eve lunch with my bosses and colleague before heading over to my friends house for steamboat session, at the same time to celebrate zhiwei’s birthday.
After steamboat, we decided to head down to the marina bay and join in the crowd to welcome 2011 and to see the spectacular fireworks!
We reached there at ard 11.30 and the place was already very crowded, but luckily we managed to find a carpark at one raffles quay and surprisingly, it’s not very expensive 😉
On new year’s eve, we went for our company nye lunch at the Mouth Restaurant 地茂馆 which i think they are famous for their dim sums (cos i saw most of the tables are ordering dim sums)
Overall i think the food served are pretty ok for me with a few which i think it tastes really good!
The Century Egg with minced pork congee was surprisingly tasty! loved the smooth texture of the congee and the crispy you tiao, i think it’s marvelous!
*HAPPY NEW Year Everyone! this is my first post for the year of 2011 and im dedicating it to my bbfs, MR DONALD~! (gan dong anot! lol~)*
Celebrated my bbfs, Donald’s birthday in advance last night together with our countdown dinner at diana’s place.
Enjoying pipping hot steamboat in such a cooling and chilling weather last night was extremely awesome! SHIOK la~!
2010 is coming to an end in a few hours time and soon, we’ll be welcoming 2011~! and i guess its the best time of the year to do a summary of my blog now! I’ve consolidated the top 12 events of the year for each month in 2010!!!
SO… This is definitely a must read entry of the year! all the jing hua is consolidated in this post. and a good start for readers that just started reading and following my blog 😉
this is my last entry for my christmas celebration.. Just in time to clear all the christmas entries so that i have enough time for my New year entries.. 😀
My christmas eve and christmas day was spent with my amblove. We met up with each other on christmas eve for a mini dinner and dift exchange. As our group wasn’t really huge that night and we are looking for something much more budget, (you know xmas eve the food all very expensive one and last min reservation sure no place de..) so i decided to bring them over to the pitstop cafe!
and i ordered my all time favourites,
This is the second last entry for my xmas celebration for the year of 2010. Last thursday, was our company christmas celebration and we went for dinner at ma maison at central where they served japanese food in a western style. I really like the place as the ambience was superb 🙂 a place that i will definitely be back again 😉
As most of us are busy for this year christmas eve, therefore we have a simple meetup a week before christmas. Was really happy about it as it’s been quite some time since we last meet up le~~~
Went over to Orchard road the other with diana and zw… and i must say that i really loved the christmas decoration this year along orchard road.. it’s really sparkling and glittery this year! I LIKE I LIKE~!!!
My second christmas celebration was with my mum and aunties last sat. My first was our S.H.E Ambience christmas celebration held the week before. It’s more or less a must for us to have a mini christmas celebration every year and i always loved it! We will assigned different task for everyone and have gift exchange as well!
This year i was appointed to buy a log cake and after drawing lots, i’m supposed to buy a present for my mum.. HAHA! JUST NICE as i know what she wants! 😉
Xmas tree… a must have!!!
At last, finally managed to squeeze sometime out to sort and edit the images taken at our christmas party. We had lots of fun that night, with food, games and prizes! We hoped, YOU, our members enjoyed yourself too!
Our party was held at GlassRoom Cafe located at SMU. It’s really a great place to chill out at and a great venue for holding a mini event. 🙂
while waiting to enter the cafe… we camwhored~
Our “Special Guest” welcoming our members at the main enterance 😉
Welcome to my Cha Ba Lang Blogging part 2, basically updating some pics which can't fit into a single entry, which is why i
This post is kinda outdated as the exhibition has already ended like a week ago ? haha~ actually wanted to blog about this on the day i visited the exhibition but was too tired and got some other stuff to work on, therefore the delay.
However, i still think i should still write this entry to share with you guys on those photos taken. (Especially for hello kitty lovers~!)
The mini exhibition was held at marina parco, (just in case you guys are not sure, it’s at millenia walk.) and it’s actually quite a small one la.. basically just a small exhibition area with the various hello kitty handphone charms and selling some hello kitty related products lor~
A collaboration with gloomy…
OK! if you’ve been following me on my twitter, you must be aware that i’ve been making good use of the public holidays and weekends to tidy up my room right?
So today, this post, i will be showing you some of the images i took throughout the packing process.
Was packing through my drawers and various boxes and was surprised that i actually collected so much S.H.E related stuff! really a very memorable 9 years down the road sia~
My notebook when i was still a member in S.H.E Ambience…
and i’m sure most of you are unaware that S.H.E very first endorsement in singapore was for Fuzion Smoothies drink right?!
Met up early with some of the amblove for a mini shopping spree at somerset 313 and i’m very glad that i managed to get the hoodie jacket that i’ve been eyeing on from uniqlo 😀 woohoo~!
Followed by a mm kinda expensive fast food meal from superdogs. $9.00 for a meal! the burger ok lor.. but the onion rings and fries taste quite nice.
Thank you everyone for your effort and time to attend our recruitment drive on last Saturday at the heeren. Response was extremely overwhelming that we actually extended our timing to 6.30pm instead or 5pm!
Briefing our new members on the terms and conditions of the fc while some filled in the application form.
This post is specially dedicated to my bbf, Rachel, whereby her birthday falls on the 8th nov, which is today!
Went for a mini and simple advanced birthday celebration with my other bbf yesterday at the FAT FISH THAI STEAMBOAT. overall there’s quite a wide variety of steamboat dishes to choose from, and i must say the soup are superb. both the clear and tom yum soup! nice~!
i know i’ve not been blogging very frequently for the past week as i’m really really very sick.. most of the time when i reach back home, bath, dry my hair and i go to bed le~ never even on my com at all, which is sooo not me lor!
luckily, im feeling much better now and it’s time for me to do some little updates here!
Meet up with my bbfs on a random night after work to prepare a birthday card for mr marc…
Last night was the Mid Autumn Festival, in chinese also known as 中秋节. This year, or maybe there was such carnival in the past few years that i didn’t notice about, together with my bbfs, we decided to go 赏花灯 on one of the night at the central, along the singapore river…
the 12 zodiac on display which i find some of them looking kinda weird.. lol~
Ever since the MBS aka Marina Bay Sands opened officially, we’ve yet to find some time to go down and explore ard. Therefore we decided to make good use of the public holiday last friday for a visit to MBS 😉
the little river that flows in the middle of the mall… realized that most of the casino have this little feature/attraction. Example like genting highland, macau and now in singapore!
if i’m not wrong. it’s $5 for a ride… and cheaper price for shoppers that spend a certain amount in the shopping mall…
your might think that this huge inverted dome shape is just a part of the building design right?
but it’s actually more than that!
Celebrated my birthday with my BBFs on saturday, right after the BAPE Charity event at the mandarin gallery. Initially, i’ve created a facebook event for discussion on the plans for my birthday celebration and it wasn’t really successful as we are unable to finalize anything or come to a conclusion, so in the end, i totally gave up and decided that we should decide on what to eat/where to go on that day itself. cos was abit sianz liao.
BUT!!! My BBFs actually planned something for me, and it was meant to be a surprise, so how can they say it on the facebook event page right?
So… without knowing where i’ll be heading to, i just followed them and they brought me to this little cafe along circular road…
Met up with my bbfs for late lunch at the ABC market in bukit merah, famous for the wide variety of yummy food they have. Ordered the Chicken cutlet which taste average but loved the large portion they are offering for the price we are paying, $5 only 🙂
*sorry no pics again as i’m HUNGRY! *
After our late lunch, we headed over to Queensway Shopping mall as miss bai wanna get herself a nice travel bag for our upcoming taiwan trip, before we proceed over to anchorpoint to chill at the hong kong cafe and a mini shopping spree at the Cotton On outlet store! Bought a pair of sunglasses, a shirt and a nice tote bag for a price of $22 ONLY! MAD CHEAP right?!
*i know, i know, i’m sheng qian wang~~ HAHA~!*
Went over to IKEA to kill time while waiting for rachel to end her exams and we went snapping ard in IKEA ~ 😀
As promised, my last Post singapore blog awards entry. Basically a entry of images and videos grabbed from friends, other bloggers and the media. [slideshow] For

The second day of our chalet. We actually managed to wake up at 9am in the morning despite sleeping at 3am the night before after our supper session. Guess why we are up so early? though we should be sleeping slightly longer…
the nearest swensen we can think of from downtown east would be the one located at the airport, so we started our sunny day outing 🙂
Continue from my previous post on the preparation phase…
After our quick Dunch ( dinner + lunch = Dunch 😛 ), we went back to our chalet and prepare ourselves for the party tonight! Retro Vintage was our theme for the night, so everyone needa dress up accordingly! though no penalty for not doing so, but come on’ we are all very sporty one ok! like that then FUN ma~ 😀
and here’s my look for the night! ( as u can see from the pics above and below… )
a few weeks ago, we’ve been busy preparing for our 2 birthday gals, Diana & Peiwen birthday surprise party! We’ve decided on booking a chalet for them but not going to tell them beforehand. We will be blindfolding them to the chalet and surprise them! haha. sound fun right?
So on friday 30th April, both me and jac took a half day leave, ( whereby mine was converted into a half day off instead 😛 tks to my boss! ) and brought all my barang barang to work in the morning. Damm HEAVY sia! dunno what i put also la. ( got hair dryer, all sorts of cables, plug, camera., hair straightener etc… )
Rachel was on a full day leave, so zhi wei went to pick her up before picking jac and me up at my workplace. Headed off to the chalet to check in and get ourselves ready for the preparation phase 🙂
this is a extremely overdue post. It all happened in early april and i only managed to post it one month later! LOL~
Went for steamboat session with my bbfs at the turf city and it’s my first time there. Quite alot of varieties of food to choose from but somehow i find some of the food not very fresh leh.. and heard from my friends that in the past, ice cream are free, but now u need to pay for the ice cream! NOT INCLUDED IN THE BUFFET ANYMORE!!! ARghh~~~ 🙁
Finally after abt an hour ride down from genting, we reached KL and check into our hotel room. We’re staying at D’ Oriental Hotel located along then streets at chinatown.
2 single bed, combined into a Queen size bed, that’s what we usually would do when we travel 😀
the cabinet and tv, which is really small lor…
Toilet is pretty clean and there’s water heater too 😀
after washing up, we headed out for our night activities!
First was to have our early dinner at the famous CLAYPOT RICE in chinatown!! we always patronize them whenever we visit KL.
while waiting for food to arrive…………..
Wee! Finally, done with all the pictures and videos upload and im now ready to start updating my post! Are u ready for the tons of pics in this 3D2N Kuala Lumpur / Genting Trip with BBFs post?
It’s really great, able to travel around with a good bunch of friends, and we actually travel overseas once again in less than 3 months from our Jan visit to Bangkok, which was really fun and enjoyable as well! I was kinda surprised that we managed to gather everyone and almost all of us agreed with this trip within a short period of time. I think we all need a short getaway to free ourselves from our work and have something to look forward to!
Brought my luggage out for work in the morning as we do not intend to head back home after work. Bag was rather heavy which i dun know why, i didn’t bring much leh~
So i decided.. mmm i shall take a cab for work!~ 😀
I was having a hard time getting a cab and in the end, i needa call for a cab.. 🙁 but luckily it didn’t cost me as much as what i expect to reach my office…
Time passed kinda slow and we couldn’t wait to knock off from work! and one surprise from my mum, she actually came down to my work place and passed me some stuff to bring along for the trip after her work.. that’s really very nice and sweet of her la! MUACKS~!!!
Meet up with the rest at boon lay mrt station as wai meng wanna bring us for dinner at the infamous nasi lemak at boon lay shopping centre!
finally time to say bye bye to all those never ending projects, bye bye to those never ending OTs haha.. Darren's going on his Short
hmm when was the last time we last visited the museum? i think it’s during my schooling days in nafa when we’re exposed to lots of exhibitions at the museum, basically we need to visit for our projects 😀
After like so many years, we are back to visit the museum again, this time not for projects but for the
Lunch with bbfs at the cathay orchard basement.. not much variety to choose from though and i’m looking for something cheap, which leads me to this set meal which consist of scallops and egg, with a cup of lemon tea for $5 only 🙂 *food taste so so only la.. but the scallops quite nice*
The star-gazing affair of the year, the Singapore Entertainment Awards (SEA) makes its return on 13 March at The Float @ Marina Bay after its successful debut last year. Thanks to omy.sg and isabel for the tickets! And if you’ve been following me on twitter, you’ll notice that i’m doing LIVE updates at the event! almost like every few mins, there’s a update from me haha.. and it also broke my record of tweets in a day!
Met up with alvin at marina square for the tickets and got to see eng shan over there as well! it’s been quite sometime since we last saw each other.. we should plan a meet-up soon with the rest!
met up in the afternoon at the kopitiam square in sengkang for lunch before we went to buy our kites for our kite flying activites! 😀
The weather was good, sunny and windy, perfect weather for kite flying haha~ nothing much to say as well… let the picture do the work.
[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="600" caption="FOODWORKS Restaurant"][/caption] Tried out this newly open restaurant around our office area as the set lunch looks very attractive to us
I love going out for dinner with my parents. the feeling is extremely great 🙂 Last sat, which is 初七，also known as 人日, is one of day whereby everyone will go for their lo hei session, aka 捞鱼生，celebrating their birthday. So, for us, we went for our dinner at buangkok, FU LEE Seafood restaurant.. Their food are really nice 😀
there is this saying that on this special day, we have to eat a dish whereby a total of 7 kinds of vegetables are cooked together. till now i still dunno why but, afterall vege is good for us ma, so no harm eating all the 7 kinds of vegetables 😀
Early in the morning went out with my mum to look for plastic chairs as we realized that we do not have enough chairs to cater to all my bbfs! lol~ so we went to the punggol plaza trying our luck and to have our breakfast there as well. Luckily we managed to get the chairs and bought some minced meat as diana requested for the meatballs for steamboat 😀
Went back home, headed down to the hello shop at compass point to get my iPhone!! YEA~~ i’m offically a iPhone user now~!! WEE~~ and quickly rushed back home to prepare the food. Really 很累 leh~~ reached back home for awhile then head out to meet rachel and berlinda to buy the remaining stuff needed for the steamboat and back home to continue with the preparation again…
the rest arrived ard 7 to 8pm and finally, we can start our steamboat session!! and not forgetting that it’s my new steamboat cooker that i’ve purchased from the TANGS sale at a damm cheap price of $29.. guess what, i saw the same one selling at punggol plaza at $69.90 K!!! haha.. quick call me 省钱王!!! hahaha~~
Would like to wish all of you out there a happy lunar new year. it’s the 4th day of chinese new year today and i guessed work resumes for most of you pple.. But, for me, work will resume on MONDAY instead! woolala~~ which explains why i’m blogging here right now! hahaa..
nothing much actually, just the usual things that most pple do on chinese new year. going ard visiting relative, collecting ang baos and more, therefore i shall not elaborate much on where i go, what i did for the new year.
i think you guyz would like to see more photos instead right?
Luckily no OT on last thursday as i’m heading over to YOGA LIN 林宥嘉 mini showcase at dragonfly!
Reached there around 7pm and there are people queuing up, waiting for admission. Went over to the reception area and look for the rest of the amblove aka ambcrew for my pass for entry. As it’s still early and nothing much that we needa help out at for the moment, we went for dinner first with sheryl, victor, daisy, mei mei and yiwen.
Secret Recipe for dinner and something real funny happened over there. it’s way too embarrassing la~ as victor told us that we needa go over to the counter to place our order, both me and sheryl took the menu over to the counter and was informed that they will come over to take our order..! SO PAISEH CAN! tsk~ and after all the laughing here and there, then i realized that it’s HAN’s that we needa order over at the counter.. TSK~~!! haha
After dinner, went back to the reception counter and the crowd started admitting into the venue.
Bascially this is going to be a photo post, i’m not going to say much here and let the pics do the talking 🙂 Went for our usual, every year must go chinese new year shopping spree at chinatown (woa.. damm long hor the name. lol!) and at the same time to drink my KOI bubble tea~!! ever since my office shifted to amoy street, it’s been quite some time since i last drank KOI le as there’s no more delivery services from ms Diana~~ 🙁
Ok, i think i’m talking too much here.. here comes the photos! 😀
Celebrated my mum’s birthday celebration last saturday. Was intending to bring her to try out the chatterbox’s chicken rice as she’ve heard about how nice the chicken rice is and was thinking of bringing her there to try out 🙂 (i’ve not eaten their chicken rice before btw.. haha :D), but in the end we settle down for dinner instead as she needa work OT on that day. So we went to our favourite restaurant, Sakura Family Restaurant!! 😀 It’s been really really long since we went for a meal as a family.. i’m really happy that night ;D
my mum and dad… look at her smile :D, she’s happy ~
and the dishes we ordered 😀 really nice!!
Celebrated my mum birthday in advanced with my aunties at the Vienna International Seafood and Teppanyaki Buffet restaurant, located at united square.
However i didn’t eat much for the buffet. Food was overall OK, but somehow i find the variety of food quite limited. they focus more on seafood, so if u’re one whom love to eat crabs, prawns, crayfish, lobster etc, this will definitely suits you!
The 佛跳墙 with abalone that was served to us when we arrived at the restaurant.
the long awaited post is finally here.. it was supposed to be ready like a few days ago but due to a few nights of OT and me falling sick, i’m giving priority to my work and rest, therefore unable to get this post up on time. but it’s better to be late than never right? Quality post need time to be ready one ok! haha 😀
Woke up real early on thursday morning. took a cab from home to pick rachel and jac from pasir ris before heading over to the airport. 🙂 We’re early as zhiwei and the rest are not there yet. We checked in our luggage when zhi wei, diana and marc arrived. But, some unhappy incident happened at the counter whereby we needa pay extra more for our baggage as we’ve exceeded our initial baggage allowance. But, we managed to chill and cool down rather fast as we didn’t want to damper our holiday mood 😀
Initially we wanted to grab a bite after checking in, but looks like we’ve wasted too much time on the baggage, and we’re left with less than 15 mins before the gate closed! so… we needa rushed over to the gate !!

On friday, took a half day leave and went back home to preapare the stuff needed for the party before taking a cab down to amk and fetch dia and zw to the apartment..
We actually booked a apartment chalet at orchard! yesh, u didn’t read nor hear nor see wrongly!! it’s in orchard! 😀 It’s really spacious!

okok.. so as to clear the doubts of how my new office look like which you guys are asking me, i’ve decided to blog abt it 😀
4th Dec marked the last day of our office at purvis street and we shifted over to amoy street on the 5th. I was kinda worried as i’ve never been to amoy street before, only heard of it.. but thanks to google maps, especially after they’ve launched the street map, i managed to go on a virtual tour and preview how my new working environment will be like, at the same time to find my way to the new office 😀
The famous and well know amoy street food centre with lots of yummy food.. heard that the lor mee, nasi lemak and fish soup there are so popular that pple come specially on saturday just to queue and eat as there will be more seats available…

After packing up my stuff from office for the shift to our newly located workplace, meet up with my BBFs for a stroll down orchard road and christmas shopping…settled down for dinner at centre point for wanton mee before we stroll down orchard road 😀
Tons of picture for this post!!!

There's actually alot of stuff that i'm eyeing for like a month ago but dare not spend the money on it as i do

。。 是omy 不是 oh my god.
Woo, the long awaited ambience fc gathering that we’ve been planning and organizing on was held on last saturday at shokudo, heeren. I guessed everyone enjoyed themselves throughout the dinner and get to know more friends from this dinner 🙂
Not forgetting group photo taking session 😀
Lunch on saturday with rachel and jac at the newly opened Xin Wang Taiwan Cafe 😀 They sell taiwan food instead of the normal hongkong cafe-styled of food. Therefore, we ordered quite a few side dishes 🙂 looks like we are the only table filled with lots of dishes LOL~
Yeah` its cooking time~! ahaha.. looking through my posts and i realized that i’ve been posting lots of cooking demo and recipes hahaha…
Mr CHEF ANG here ! 😉
ok, today, we shall cook stewed cauliflower, a simple and easy to prepare dish for dinner 🙂
Advanced birthday celebration for my 2nd aunty on sunday. A very simple celebration with chicken wings and drumlet, dessert and fish balls! haha 😀 not forgetting birthday cake ! We bought the hazelnut cake from prima deli. YUMMY! one of my favourite cake hahaha.
Presents and self-diy birthday card. Able to spot which card is made by me ;D
My dad brought home some rambutan last night! haha… he picked these up somewhere ard his workplace LOL~ lots of them! but, after opening up all the rambutans, my thumb got abit swollen. something went into my nails and i couldn’t removed it.. grhzzz~~ damm pain la… don’t know what to do now. 🙁
Now i know why, because what i did was the wrong way of opening up rambutan! wahraozZZ!!! We’re actually suppose to use a knife to open it !!!
Went for a yummy crab feast at Melben Seafood in ang mo kio for dinner last night, to celebrate my aunt’s advanced birthday 😀
As from what we know, the place is always crowded and the waiting time is always taking hours. Therefore, we decided to head there early. We reached there at ard 5.30pm and there was a few customers there already. Luckily, we managed to get our table in less than 15 mins time, whereby the average waiting time is ard 30 mins or more…
Waited for almost an hour before our dishes came… that’s long huh? but it’s considered normal over there as it can be more than 1 and a half hour during its peak period…
Since i became jobless like a week ago, been busy hunting for a new job… but till date, i’ve not managed to get one that i like with pay that i’m happy with…
Since i’m jobless now, it means i need to be extremely careful when i spend… *shit* i miss shopping k… grhzzz
So, cup noodles are wat i rely on for my lunch… at times, i’ll simply skip my lunch or if not, i’ll just grab a cup of noodles, and that’s how i’ve tried quite a wide variety of cup noodles. hahaha 🙂
A very random steamboat session suggested by mr marc on sat as his parents are not in town. 😀
Met up with diana, rachel and jac at bugis as i’m intending to get myself a new backpack, but sad to say, i went back empty-handed. 🙁
Took a cab down from bugis to sheng shiong at marc’s place for steamboat ingredients shopping 😉 Not forgetting photo-taking session while doing our shopping there 😀
Wooo`!!!!!!!!!! The Great Singapore Sales that everyone is looking forward is here! and it’s calling me and my frenz to start our shopping spree now to catch all the discounts and great bargains during this economy crisis that we’re all facing… But, looks like it’s not going to affect us as the crowd in town was horrible~! but… i like it ! that’s how it should be during this GSS period 😉
Just in case if you’re curious of why is there a need for the above-mentioned items, i shall give you a much detail descriptions of the reasons below :
Tee-Shirt : Wear comfortable and preferably cotton tees as the weather is hot and u’re bound to sweat a lot.
Shorts : Wear shorts instead of jeans as, again, the weather is extremely hot and it’s more convenient for you while trying out clothings.
Comforable Shoes : Wear comfortable shoes as you’ll need to spend most of your time walking ard.
Sling Bag : Carry a small bag and preferably a sling bag so that you can move ard easily, no big big bag as you’ll find urself having difficulties moving through the crowds, and also reduce risk of getting pick-pocket.
Cap : For me, it’s to prevent my hair from getting messy after trying on clothings 🙂
Water : You’ll definitely need this. sometimes it can cost quite alot if you were to buy a bottle of mineral water in town area.
Cards : Yup, get ready your credit card, debit card, privilege card, membership card, watever la. as it’s rather useful as you might be getting extra more discounts with them 😉
Cash : For payment like food, drinks etc… and for items less than $10
Ok, if you’ve gotten the above-mentioned items, i supposed you’re ready to start your shopping spree too~!
My off day on Wednesday was a busy day for me.. other than collecting ba zangs in the afternoon, i went for the FAME:
