It’s the annual Singapore Star Awards once again, WAIT, erms i meant Singapore Blog Awards is back again! 😀 actually it’s really like the Star Awards, but not for artiste or celebrities, but for the bloggers in the blogosphere! 😀
This year, thanks to the support given by you guys, i’m nominated as one of the finalist in the Singapore Blog Awards 2012, Gmarket Best Online Shopping Blog! 😀

How do you feel about being one of finalists in Singapore Blog Awards 2012?
I was really happy to be one of the finalists in this year Singapore Blog Awards! Last year i was nominated in 3 categories and this year i was nominated in just 1 category, but i’m still very very excited and thankful for it! 😀 I know this is very 老套，but i still want to say this : 能夠入圍對我來説已經算是一種肯定，輸贏不重要，重要的是過程。 I’m sure it’s gonna be a really FUN blogging journey with the other finalists in this category! 🙂
When did you start blogging and what drew you to it? Where do you get inspiration for your blog content?
I started blogging 8 years ago, you can read my very first entry here, whereby i started blogging because during that period of time, my friends are blogging and the main purpose was just to keep a online diary of my own. I got lazy after awhile and i think i stop blogging for almost a year. One fine day, i decided to login back into my account and noticed that there’s actually people visiting my blog during these period when i stop blogging! and that was where i decided to continue to blog again 🙂 Slowly throughout all these years, there’s more interactions on my blog with my readers and i’m really thankful that they didn’t give up on darren bloggie ;D (gan dong dao~~~ ) You guys are really my motivation to continue blogging!!
as for my inspiration for my blog content, to be honest, when you first start to blog, you do reference from other bloggers, see how they write their content, and from there, as the more you write, you will slowly create your own style of writting 😉 Especially when readers comment on your entry, telling you that they loved what you write ;D
How do you feel about the other Finalists in your category this year? How do you think you will fare compared to them?
I’m sure everyone of them have their own uniqueness which explains why they are in the top 10 finalists! and it’s great to know that some of my friends, (whom i made through blogging) are also in the same category as me. I’m actually pretty excited to see how the other finalists will use the $100 credits given by QOO10 (formerly known as Gmarket) !! 😀 it’s gonna be fun!
