The world’s largest Volksfest held annually in Munich, Germany comes to Savourworld. In collaboration with Brauerei Gebr. Maisel, one of Germany’s oldest breweries, Savourworld’s first edition of Oktoberfest promises to be an exciting, fun-filled immersion into the age-old German tradition of revelry – it is not just about overflowing large steins of authentic German beer, but also the biggest Bavarian feast to be served up in Singapore as a traditional Bavarian Oompah Band in full lederhosen gear gets the festival mood going.
Savourworld’s Oktoberfest weekend takes place from 13 to 15 October, 5.30pm to 11.30pm. At the general admission price of only $28 per person, each reveler gains entry into the sprawling festival hall and is served one complimentary welcome stein of the celebrated Maisel’s Weisse beer. Expect to tuck into traditional hearty German fare (starting from $8) like crispy pork knuckles, rotisserie chickens and a large assortment of sausages, including weisswurst, bratwurst, currywurst and more.
The highlight entertainment for the Oktoberfest weekend is the six-piece live Oompah Band, putting the festival into full-on German foot-tapping, thigh-slapping gear. Performing through the weekend festivities, revelers will be treated to a repertoire of iconic German songs by the talented professional brass musicians, all specialized in creating the authentic Hofbrauhaus (traditional German tavern) atmosphere.
