Oscar’s at Conrad Centennial Singapore is no stranger to the Sunday brunch scene and it has lately “Supercharge” the buffet offerings providing even greater value for the foodies. We map out a buffet trail on the new items to help navigate the myriad of food.
Cheese connoisseurs rejoice ! you will be spoilt for choice at a selection of 9 cheeses. From buttery Gorgonzola to firm Edam, find your perfect pairing with the assortment of wines and alcohol. We found some interesting selections including the smoked caramel coloured San Simon and sweet-and-nutty Manchego Curado from Spain.
The new carving station features three types of roasts – Filipino lechon de leche, a succulent Spanish suckling pig slow-roasted Filipino-style; Oven roast US Prime Rib; and Conrad Centennial Singapore’s signature roast London duck.
Oscar’s version of the famous roast London duck are imported from specific farms in Ireland. There ducks roam free, are grain-fed and live in a calm environment with soft music which relaxed the muscles. The results show with the juicy meat and crispy skin after roasting.
Charcoal BBQ Grill – Fresh Lobsters
The fresh, juicy lobsters prepared are flame grilled when you place an order with your peg located outside at the Terrace. It was one of the best grilled lobsters that we ever tasted ! The chefs kept the meat soft and tender without overcooking the lobsters.
Eggs with Attitude
Breakfast lovers will surely love Oscar’s Poached Organic Eggs on English muffins with a choice of toppings: from lemon-myrtle salmon, foie gras parcels, pancetta, pulled braised brisket, or mullet Bottarga.
For the Alcoholic
The London Dry Gin or London cup will surely please the Gin lovers. If Gin is not your thing, go for the draft beers, sparking wines or house pours.
Special Feature – Chocolate Tarts
Conrad is releasing new innovations in chocolate tarts and they are truly a level above typical pastries. Featuring Chendol, Sensation, Pure Gourmlanoise, La Royale and Violette. One of our favourites was the La Royale with a signature hazel nut crunch with an almond shell filled with crunchy hazelnut praline feuillantine an 72% araguani chocolate mousse.
The other one that caught our fancy was the Sensation which is a chocolate streusel based with 64% Manjari chocolate ganache and the Hawaiian black salt caramel. Overall all the tarts were very tasty and extremely addictive. Bring home a box of 5 tarts from Conrad and share the sweetness with your loved ones.
