For the first time since it’s opening in November last year, the Monti kitchen will be converting it’s popular classic Italian menu to Japanese, for one week only. Teaming up with The Chita Suntory Whisky, Monti has created a special Japanese menu, which will be available to diners from 14 to 21 July, with a 4-course menu priced at $120++ pp and $150++ pp that includes special pairings with the whisky.
The Chita is the first single grain whisky from the House of Suntory Whisky, and it has an unrivalled balance of complexity, subtlety and refinement, with a distinctively versatile flavour profile. The Chita will also offer diners a drinks special from 14 July to 13 August, by the glass (on the rocks/neat/highball) priced at only $18++ and by the bottle at $220++.
Monti adds a Japanese spin to its regular Italian favourites, giving diners something unique on offer, with a starter of Oyster with Fine De Claire No.2, Ikura, Lemon Vinaigrette and Olive Caviar followed by the Tagliolini, a choice of fish or meat and finally the dessert.
While at dinner, guests may enjoy “bluesy tunes” by Kelvin “Smokey” & Skunk Jive, Monti’s latest addition to Jazz at Monti’s Mid-Week Blues, who are widely acknowledged in Singapore as THE go-to blues harmonica band. Kelvin Ng, Leader of the band, is a major blues talent in Singapore and the region, and has also been recognised internationally.
If that’s not enough, diners may head up to the rooftop post-dinner, for a sneak preview of the fireworks rehearsals on Saturday 15th, Saturday 22nd, and Saturday 29th July, as well as on National Day itself (Wednesday 9th August), at 8pm.
