Featuring collaboration with four global talents – Pharrell Williams, Zaha Hadid, Todd James and Mr. – on the highly anticipated Superstar collection
Pharrell Williams returns with Supershell after the global success of Supercolor. Once again transforming the iconic Superstar model, this collection features a collaboration between Pharrell and friends and creative talents from around the world to bring a new chapter of the Superstar to life.
In this Artwork Collection, the Superstar’s Shelltoe comes alive with signature graphic artworks and designs from NYC contemporary artist Todd James and contemporary Japanese artist Mr. The artists’ designs are then complemented with six of Pharrell’s very own artworks that explore life force and energy and its relationship with colour.
Additionally, the left and right shoe in the Sculpted Collection differs in graphic treatment and this allows fans to mix and match the footwear freely, providing them yet another opportunity to express their creativity.
The Sculpted Collection sees the different artists showcase their artworks in specially-molded 3D designs on the Shelltoe, which is a first for the Superstar silhouette. The series is then completed by two of Pharrell’s own personal designs, which speak of his interest in the concept of relativity.
Launching islandwide on 7 August 2015, fans can get their hands on a pair of the Superstar Supershell Artwork collection for SGD149 and the Superstar Supershell Sculpted collection for SGD169 at all adidas Originals stores and the adidas online store (http://shop.adidas.com.sg).
