Healthy Chinatown

Chinatown Business Association (CBA) is proud to present ‘Healthy Chinatown’(保健牛车水), an event initiative organized to help visitors stay well whilst they tour around the Chinatown precinct in Singapore. The event will run from 21st to 22nd March 2020 at the bustling Chinatown district, a go-to destination for locals and tourists.

With an exclusive blend of free activities, enjoy a throwback to the past – showcasing Chinatown’s rich heritage in the 1950s and 60s. Relish in the historical atmosphere with Traditional Street Games, along with various other programs.

Curated tours are ongoing – learn how to pamper yourself better with a Health and Beauty Tour; or have a little expedition around Chinatown district with a ride on a traditional Trishaw, an iconic light passenger cart used as a means of transport in the past (hosted by Uncle Trishaw).

Participate in a Coffee Workshop held at Nanyang Old Coffee – an authentic Singaporean brand which commenced business roasting and grinding top quality coffee beans in their backyard fresh daily. Learn how they continue to retain the good practices of traditional coffee treatments with their hand-made technique.

Gain insightful tips from an informative Herbalist Sharing health talk hosted by Thye Shan Medical, a medical hall known for providing Traditional Chinese Medicinal (TCM) products and services with more than 60 years of history. The talk will explain how to potentially build your immune system using herbs, as well as how to apply suitable oils for specific ailments.

The Healthy Chinatown event takes into consideration the situation at hand; with activities well dispersed and spread out across different pit-stops and attractions, and with each attraction hosting from less than 15 (Nanyang Old Coffee) to not more than 50 individuals in an open area.

All activities are free for the public to enjoy; for the Herbalist Sharing health talk by Thye Shan Medical, register online at $2 to receive a free “enhanced wellness” Goodie Bag (worth $10), with limited slots available.
