Asahi Super Dry was developed in 1987 based on a survey of some 5,000 beer drinkers in Tokyo and Osaka, when the company decided to challenge a widely‑held assumption that drinkers could not appreciate subtle flavours, or even differentiate one beer from another. As a result, the first Karakuchi “Dry Flavour” draft beer was born – delivering a clean, crisp and refreshing brew without the bitter aftertaste.
The uniqueness of the Clear line lies in the aftertaste wherein each brew ends with a distinct taste note. Clear Asahi Sakura, inspired by the season of spring, starts off with a pleasantly refreshing light aroma – just as spring brings about refreshing light colours. Its end note leaves a mild hoppy finish for discerning beer lovers to reminisce a passing winter, when care and cultivation for hops is an arduous task.
Clear Asahi Sakura is now available from $4.80 per 350ml can in approximately 300 7‑Eleven stores island wide. Subject to GST and prevailing in-store promotions.
