Orange Ribbon Run returns for its fourth year this September. The nation’s only running event against racism, the Orange Ribbon Run is a signature effort by OnePeople.sg to promote values of respect, understanding and trust. The event will be held on Saturday, 10 September 2016.
Race Against Racism has been gaining momentum each year, attracting both the locals as well as foreign workers to join the cause. One example is Jacob General Contractors Pte Ltd, who came on board to support the cause last year and the foreign workers are looking forward to this year’s event.
This year, the Race also hopes to draw more runners for the Buddy category which encourages people from different races to run together in the spirit of friendship. Running enthusiasts can sign up for the 5km and 10km competitive Run while families can participate in the 3.5km Fun Walk category. Runners will receive a Race Pack with goodies, while Walkers will receive a T-shirt on a first-come first-served basis.
The event is an excellent platform for all Singaporeans to come together during a fun-filled occasion to show their support for a very important cause. They can share their personal messages via the online portal and write their messages on their running/ walking bibs on event day.
Discounts apply to those who register during the early bird registration period, ending on 17 June. Both Run and Walk will take place at Bayfront Event Space, next to Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, against the Singapore skyline.
