“MISAKI” refers to the natural elements surrounding us, the trees, the sea and the air. Dining here is akin to watching an artwork come together, from the slicing of sashimi to the plating, culminating in the Sushi Deluxe Set, a crowd-favourite with its thick cuts of fresh raw fish and glistening prawns.
We got to taste some of the more popular dishes on the menu. Starting with Sushi Moriawase Deluxe($68). Assorted sushi such as Uni, Ohtoro and Hotate are skillfully sliced up. The sushi, just like in Japan are applied with just the right amount of wasabi.
If you have worked up an appetite and want something more substantial then order up the Chirashi Sushi Don($68) The two main different items from the Sushi moriawase are salmon and kani Tsume(crab claw). This sink sized bowl of fresh seafood is artfully plated and is sure to fill up any hungry bellies(Tip: consider asking your friendly waitresses for less rice)
Another good option is the Bara Chiashi Don($52) assorted cubes of sashimi on sushi rice. Give it a good mix so that each spoonful gets some wasabi, sashimi and the little salty pearls of salmon roe.
If you are a chawamushi fan, be prepared to be delighted! The smooth texture of the the chawamushi here is paired nicely with Uni(sea urchin) giving it a nice salty balance.
Misaki is a nice place to visit with it’s dark interiors and warm lights. Suitable for a business lunch in a VIP private room or just sakae and sushi at the counter with friends.
