Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon and if you’re still deciding on which mooncakes to try or buy this year, here are some new mooncakes from four different hotels that are not just the usual double-yolk white lotus that you are familiar with.
Golden Peony from Conrad Singapore Marina Bay
Golden Peony's box design this year is the kind of thing that photographs well for the gifting crowd as it swivels open to reveal the mooncakes rather than just lifting off like a regular lid.
There are two new bake additions that are worth trying:
Da Hong Pao with Chai Seeds
Folding oolong tea into the lotus paste and finishes with a bit of crunch form the chia
Pandan “Fei Cui” with Melon Seeds
Jade-green pandan with festive melon seeds bits running through it.
Both flavours come in at $95 for four pieces or $54 for two.
The snowskin side is where it gets more playful — Strawberry with Champagne Truffle and Matcha with Sakura Truffle are the two newcomers, $98 for eight pieces or $56 for four. If you're after something heavier, the Mao Shan Wang Durian Snowskin is still there at $108 for four, and the handmade Sweet Potato Filo Puff now comes in a Bird's Nest version if you want to go all out.
Self-collection and island-wide delivery is available daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm from now till 25 September 2026.
Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant from Carlton Hotel Singapore
Wah Lok's gift box this year is shaped like a lantern which comes with a small light inside, and is meant to actually be used as a lantern once the mooncakes are gone!
New in the baked range is Tangerine Peel White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, which adds a citrus lift to the usual white lotus base ($98 for four). On snowskin, there's Mini Hong Kong Milk Tea Snow Skin (a nod to the hotel's own Hong Kong buffet) and Mini Baileys Cheesecake Snow Skin — the latter does contain alcohol, so worth knowing if you're buying for someone who doesn't drink. Both are $90 for eight pieces. The usual favourites are all still around too: White Lotus Paste with Double Yolk, Traditional Mixed Nuts, the exclusive Mini Walnut Moon Tart with Yolk, and the well-loved Mao Shan Wang Durian Snow Skin.
This is actually the one collection where a real discount is still live — 30% off with DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB or Citibank cards, but only until 10 September. After that it drops to 25–30% depending on how many boxes you're getting. If you're going to act on anything in this list before it's too late, this is probably it.
Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant from Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium
Xin Cuisine went with a "never just a mooncake" theme this year, leaning into gifting for milestones rather than just the festival itself. Their box — the Poet's Dream Box — is a soft blush keepsake with a clear cover, designed so you can keep using it as a jewellery box afterwards.
The two new flavours are both mini snowskin: Orange Whiskey, which is exactly what it sounds like — bright citrus against a mellow whiskey warmth — and Elderflower Apple, lighter and more floral. Both are $84 for six pieces. There's also a 1-for-1 deal running on the Low Sugar White Lotus Seed Paste Baked Mooncake with Double Yolk and the Peranakan Durian Mini Snowskin, in either Blush Pink or Sandy Beige packaging.
Their early bird (up to 35% off) closed on 20 August, so it's regular pricing now, though the 1-for-1 promo doesn't have a fixed end date listed — it's running "while stocks last," so might be worth a quick check if that's the one you want. Also worth noting: this collection's sale period ends earliest of the four, on 21 September.
Man Fu Yuan from Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel
This one used to be InterContinental Singapore, and its mooncake collection this year is the most conceptually interesting of the bunch. The new Nanyang Reverie snowskin series is built entirely around the neighbourhoods surrounding the hotel in Bugis — Emerald Chendol with Red Bean, Jackfruit and Gula Melaka Truffle; Velvet Milk Tea, Orange & White Chocolate Truffle; Nanyang Charcoal Coffee and Dark Chocolate Truffle; and Lychee Rose with Lychee Truffle. It's $102 for the full set of four, and honestly the flavour combinations alone make it worth a look even if you're not buying.
If you want something more everyday, there's a halal-certified low-sugar baked range too — white and red lotus paste with single or double yolk, a macadamia and pumpkin seed version, and a plant-based mixed nut mooncake, all between $88 and $98. And if you want to go big on gifting, the Premium Baked Mooncake set comes with an actual teapot and teacup set, topping out at the $158 Grand Luxe set.
Man Fu Yuan actually had the earliest and steepest discounts out of all four hotels, but both windows have already closed — the 35% super early bird ended 9 August, and the 30% early bird for credit card and Marriott Bonvoy members ended 25 August. So right now you're looking at their regular sales pricing: 25% off for credit card holders and Bonvoy members, 20% off through their Oddle platform, and a smaller 15%/10% on the Premium range. Collection continues through 25 September at their Bugis Junction-facing booth.
So, Which One?
If I had to point you somewhere: Man Fu Yuan's Nanyang Reverie and Xin Cuisine's Orange Whiskey snowskin are the two I'd actually try for the flavours alone. If you care about the box being useful afterwards, Wah Lok's lantern and Xin Cuisine's jewellery case both beat a box you're just going to recycle. And if you're still deciding based on price, Wah Lok is genuinely the only one with a discount still worth chasing before 10 September — everyone else has already moved into regular pricing.
Either way, don't wait too long. Most of these collections wrap up between 21 and 25 September, right around the festival itself.
