Fans of Thai cuisine rejoice! Makan@Jen at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway will be collaborating with Chef Yanavit Theerasomboonkun, Sous Chef at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, to bring one of the most extensive spreads of authentic Thai cuisine Singapore has seen!
For a limited, 9-day period (22nd to 30th September), over 40 Thai dishes will be added to the menu at Makan@Jen during this special Thai cuisine promotion. Patrons and hotel guests alike will get the opportunity to experience a taste of Thailand as prepared by Chef Yanavit and his team. We know we are in for a treat when the lead chef has not only prepared and presented Thai cuisine for ASEAN summits, but has also cooked for Thai Royalty.
The selection will include the iconic phad thai goong (stir-fried rice noodles with prawns) prepared ‘live station’ style, pla ka pong sam ros (sweet and sour deep-fried fish) and a popular favourite, mango sticky rice. There will also be live cooking stations for those who like watching their food prepared in front of them. Aside from these, the menu has also included some uncommon selections that are just as authentic and delicious – poo ja (deep-fried stuffed crab shells), ped phad kee mao (a stir-fried rice noodle dish made with roasted duck) and yam hua plee pao (banana flower/bud salad).
There will be three different menus rotated over the course of this promotion. All existing buffet prices will include access to the Thai menu with no additional charges. So do drop by Makan@Jen for a little fix of Thailand with some authentic Thai food prepared by the best.
