Ok tell me what you thought of when u came across this name “Go Go Funky Rangers” ? Power Rangers right? and YES! that’s how the name Go Go Funky Rangers came from!
‘Go Go Funky Rangers’ was formed up by Jeffrey Kustian, Julius Mashuri and Ricky Yo, where they got to know each other from the FAMOUS Creative Dance Community in Indonesia. The name actually came from the movie “Go Go Power Rangers” and they changes the Power to Funky instead as they usually dance to funk music and they wanted their moves to be as funky as possible while at the same time with such a catchy name they had, it would be easily remembered.
‘Go Go Funky Rangers’ is also a part of the dance crew named “Famous Dance Crew”, a community by the name of “FAMOUS creative community center’ which was formed in 2006 with a total of 25 dancers. One of the very first Hip Hop crew in Batam City (Indonesia)!
This is where they practice at, also know as the FAMOUS Creative Community Center.
Now, lets get to know them better!
Jeffrey kustian, 22 yrs old have been dancing for the past 3 years and is well known for his hiphop dancing style, but he’s been trying out another new style which is the funk style for the past 1 year.
Jeffrey told me that he loved dancing as he thinks that dancing to him is a blessing. He is able to express his feelings and emotion with his dance moves without having a need to speak a single word. That’s pretty true right?
Jeffrey favourite dance groups are : S**t kingz, choreo cookies, Movement lifestyle artists, 5+5, hilty & bosch

Ricky Yo, 20 years old, pursuing his degree in a university now, have been dancing Hip Hop for the past 3 years as well and is currently focusing on Locking. He said that he fell in love with Locking as it really inspired him alot in his dance choreography!
Ricky Yo favourite dance groups : Hilty & Bosch, The Originality Speed, Wrecking Crew Orchestra
Julius Mashuri, 20 years old is currently a dance instructor at the dance studio. He love dancing since primary school but only started focusing on it when he is in the high school. He started off with break dancing but after he joined the famous dance crew, he learnt alot of many other styles of dance as well!
He said : “I love dancing because we can create positive impact through dance. Dance is not just for fun, but dance can change peoples lives.”
Don’t you agree with what he said! it’s so true! it’s like another form of sports activities as well and please don’t have this mentality that all dancers are spoilt brags and people with real bad attitude.
Julius Mashuri favourite dance groups : Famous Dance Crew (Batam – Indonesia), Wrecking Crew Orchestra, Original lockers

They felt so blessed by God and honored for making it into the top 20 finalists, especially being able to represent the city and their country.
