RISE restaurant is an international buffet restaurant located at the lobby of Tower 1, Marina Bay Sands Hotel. I have not tried the restaurant before, so it was a good opportunity when I got to try their buffet spread last Thursday.
In celebration of Oktoberfest, RISE restaurant has added an outdoor barbeque station for patrons to enjoy! The outdoor barbeque will be available every Thursday for the month of October.
You can look forward to many different kinds of grilled sausages such as juicy bratwurst, snail sausage, smoked pork and garlic sausage, cheeser krainer among other regular buffet favourites!
The sausages are quite flavorful and there are six different kinds of mustards for you to try! Goes very well with the sausages I must say. I am usually not a sausage fan but those sausages were really good.
were introduced to the executive chef, Christopher Christie. Here is he at work!
Mr Christie has been the executive chef of MBS since 2009. I was quite surprised to learn that he is in charge of a 400-strong culinary team at the integrated resort, and his team prepares an average of 20, 000 meals per day! That is really quite impressive and I am glad we got to see him in action.
The buffet selection at RISE is quite extensive.

RISE also have special themed nights – seafood on Tuesdays, Mediterranean on Fridays, and Singaporean delights on Saturdays. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, they have an outdoor barbeque station every Thursday for this month, just for Oktoberfest.

ARTSCIENCE LATE
After we finished dinner, we headed towards ArtScience Museum for the specially curated ArtScience Late programme. I watched the performance of Tim O’Dwyer with an interactive video installation by Florian Baron called Kaleidoclock. I must confess that the performance was a bit too experimental for me, but the video installation was quite interesting. You can download the app here and create your own Kaleidoclock!
Once a month, ArtScience Museum will transform into a buzzy, chilled-out, night-time destination. There will be free cutting-edge performances, and you can also wind down to the weekend with bar offerings.
