Provisions, Singapore’s first Skewers & Claypot Rice Cocktail Bar, is a new spot located in the hip and Instagram-worthy Dempsey enclave where food-lovers can indulge in a hearty meal of well-loved Asian food delights and creative cocktail concoctions, set in a charming industrial-chic space of metal and wooden fixtures that reminisce of the yesteryears.
Expect claypot rice choices such as the Seafood Rice, which is a decadent mixture of the freshest prawns and clams paired with traditional liver sausage; and the Oyster & Uni Rice that brings together two of the most amazing and rich flavours of the sea onto the table.
The curated selection of well-marinated skewers range from chicken and pork parts, to mutton, beef and seafood, such as sotong, prawns and octopus, placed on an enamel plate, a ubiquitous tableware of the bygone years.
To end the meal on a sweet note, the dessert selection includes Asian-influenced delights from India, Indonesia and Malaysia. They include Methi Milk, Cempedak & Coconut and Pisang Sundae.
While mainly the food takes centrestage in many restaurants, Provisions also aim at offering diners a memorable beverage experience in the form of a well-tended cocktail bar. There is also a selection of craft beers as well as a comprehensive list of spirits and liquors that can be ordered by the glass or bottle.
