was invited by omy.sg to this meaningful event held at the People’s Association Headquarters on Saturday morning for the President’s Challenge 2010 Launch Carnival. Luckily the location wasn’t that difficult to locate, just a few mins walk away from the Lavender Mrt Station.
Here’s a brief introduction on what this President’s Challenge is all about :
President’s Challenge is an annual charity drive comprising a series of community-driven fund raising and volunteering activities, initiated by President S R Nathan in 2000. Aiming to rally Singaporeans towards doing something worthwhile for the less privileged in our community.
The Challenge is a platform for Singaporeans’ collective involvement in charity and it engages the different sectors of society mobilising the more able to spare a moment to care for those in need.
Ok now, you have a better idea of what the President’s Challenge stand for, lets get back to the launch carnival~!
