Mum's Birthday Celebration @ Chaozhou Inn Restaurant

It was my mum’s birthday last saturday and together with my aunties, we brought her out for birthday lunch at this Chao Zhou Inn which sells authentic teochew cuisine. 🙂 and since my mum and aunties are teochew, therefore i guessed the food over there will suit them 🙂

Quite like the ambience over there. the place is very well furnished which gives you the atmosphere of enjoying your food in a 客栈．

X.O Sauce carrot cake! VERY NICE!!!

Xiao Long Bao!!! it’s soo much better than the one from Mouth Restuarant. Though my favourites will still goes to the xiao long bao from ding tai feng and crystal jade ;D

Shui Jian Bao… dun quite like the texture. very sticky, dunno why :/

Ok, till now, i guessed you must be curious why all the food i’m showing here looks like dim sum right?

That’s because they sell dim sum as well! in a teochew style haha..

SO… we had a round of dim sum before having our main dishes for the day 😉

this soup is really tasty.. lao huan gua soup.. presented in a very special way 😉

there’s prawns and mushrooms in the soup as well~!

Fried Kueh Teow with cai po. not bad but i can’t really taste the cai po..

Overall the food is considered acceptable for me. We are quite pleased with the food and we think it’s not that expensive.. we ordered like so many dishes and we are paying for ard $30 per pax. 🙂

After lunch, we headed back to my aunties home for the second part of the celebration, which is to sing my mum a birthday song and present her the birthday cake!! 😀
