NOVEL, UNIQUE AND EXCITING FLAVOURS WITH A TWIST
With increasing demand for new, exciting and premium flavours, Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant took into consideration the feedback received from the clients to develop innovative and premium mooncakes.
Making a debut this year is the luxurious, gold-dusted Black Truffle, Roasted Chestnut, Waxed Duck and Single Yolk with White Lotus Seed Paste Baked Mooncake – the ultimate ensemble for the most exquisite palate.
With the Black Truffle unique earthy aroma and the meaty flavour form the savoury Waxed Duck, these two premium ingredients complemented well with the sweet Roasted Chestnuts, rich duck egg and low sugar, silky White Lotus Seed Paste.
Encased in a gold-dusted black charcoal baked mooncake skin, the unique aromas and contrasting textures transforms this traditional mid-autumn treat into a luxurious and irresistible affair.
Another interesting baked mooncake creation is the spicy Jalapeno and Chicken Bak-Kwah with White Lotus Seed Paste Baked Mooncake.
Riding on Wan Hao’s signature and popular Chicken Bak-Kwah cookies as well as Singaporean’s preference for cuisines with a touch of spicyness – the harmonious combination of this east-meets-west flavour is sure to leave you with a pleasant and gratifying surprise.
Snowskin mooncakes such as the Sour Plum with Portuguese Custard and Lime Puree Snowskin Mooncake and SG50-inspired Teh Tarik with Chocolate Pearls Snowskin Mooncake is something new this year. The Sour Plum with Portuguese Custard and Lime Puree Snowskin Mooncake gives an uplifting balance of sweet and sour flavours while the SG50-inspired Teh Tarik with Chocolate Pearls Snowskin Mooncake bring back nostalgic childhood memories with the marriage of one of Singapore’s favourite drink – smooth and milky Teh Tarik with chocolate pearls and mildy sweet lotus paste.
Wan Hao’s mooncakes are available at the hotel’s Forecourt Stall and various shopping malls.
