Without the intro by Mr C, I might not know about this gem hidden in the neighbourhood of Kovan. Located at Simon Road, just a few mins walk away from Kovan MRT station, Lola’s Cafe served decent food with mains not more than $20.
It’s a nice cosy cafe, with very simple tables and chairs. There are sofas near the entrance too but it’s usually occupied.
I ordered the Bacon and Mushroom Cream Pasta ($12) as my main for dinner. Surprisingly, it taste really good and i managed to finish everything without getting sick of it. The portion is huge too so you might want to share it with someone else if you are not a big eater. *ps: not saying that i eat alot, but i was really hungry for dinner that night 😛
Mr C ordered the Braised Pork Goulash Stew, served with Baguette Bread ($13.00), look SOOO yummy that makes me regret for not ordering that.
Something different from them is that we usually see beef stew, chicken stew or even mutton stew but we seldom see pork stew in the menu. According to Mr C, it taste really GOOD!
We also ordered the Honey & Paprika Crispy Wings ($9.oo) which, if i’m not wrong is one of the recommended sides. not too bad 🙂
Overall, its a nice cafe, with decent food at a decent price, conveniently located to the train station (as i notice alot of cafes are more accessible if you drive).
Just like what the slogan says, Love is at the Heart of what we Serve. Yes, i can feel that 😉
