HOTEL REVIEW : W BANGKOK, THAILAND

Sponsored Review

During our visit to Bangkok this April, we managed to stay at the posh and luxury W BANGKOK where we Play, Relax and Indulge during our 4D3N spent in Bangkok.

W BANGKOK is located in North Sathorn road, which is a 3 minute-walk from the Chong Nonsi metro rail station. It’s not that difficult to locate and not to worry if you are carrying your luggage with you as the journey from the train station to the hotel was smooth.

Upon arriving at the lobby, the grand W, which is the signature sign where all will take their instagram-worthy pics at, welcomed us.

While waiting for our turn to check-in, there’s free flow of lemongrass drink where you can enjoy at the side of the counter. Check-in process didn’t took very long and after a quick chat with the marketing manager, we’re all ready to explore this stylish icon of Asian chic!

SPECTACULAR ROOM

W BANGKOK houses a total of 403 spacious guest rooms and suites amid inspiring designs and custom furnishing. We’re checked into the Spectacular Room which comes in an inventive triangular, open floor plan.

As I’m celebrating J’s birthday, I informed the hotel before we arrived to see if they are able to help prepare something for us and it was indeed a pleasant surprise as the room was filled with balloons, photos, greeting card as well as a bottle of champagne and cupcakes too!

The room is actually very spacious, decorated with a monochrome background with vibrant pink and gold accents, and paired with a view of the City of Angels through a row of full length windows.

There are also signature items where you can find across all rooms at W BANGKOK, such as the over-sized pair of boxing gloves! A way for your friend to identify and feel jealous that you’re now staying at W BANGKOK. Hahaha!

All rooms comes with the expensive range of shampoos, conditioners, soaps and shower gels from BLISS that we loved. There’s also a standing a free standing bathtub where you can enjoy a good soak after a day out.

All rooms comes with a mini bar filled with snacks and movies that you can watch on the flat-screen TV accompanied with excellent sound system. There’s also paid Wi-Fi, but complimentary for you if you’re a SPG member (quick go sign up now if you are not one).

As one of the hipster and a hotel group that is always keeping up to the latest trends and technology, all rooms have a tablet of its own, where you can control the air-conditioning, lighting as well as setting an alarm with just a few touch from your finger tip.

STYLISH AND FUNKY

W BANGKOK is a true definition of a design hotel with its playful interior designs where you can see lots of funky installations and colorful themes such as the massive spiral staircase and a colorful wall full of tuk-tuk lights.

AMENITIES – WET, FIT GYM, AWAY SPA

Bask in the city views and sunshine at WET with an inviting 206-square-meter outdoor pool surrounded by lounge chairs, couches and covered day beds. Complete your experience and enjoy light bites and sips from the poolside bar.

FIT GYM is complimentary to all hotel guests and is accessible 24 hours a day. The gym is well equipped with TechnoGym equipment such as Treadmills, Elliptical Trainer, Exercise Bikes with LCD displays, Free Weights, Yoga Matts, Medicine Ball and more. Towels are provided along with water cooler and complimentary headphones.

Rejuvenate and relax yourself at AWAY SPA, offering full-body treatments, facials, beauty services and more with the spa experts which promise pure relaxation.

The away spa is divided into different zones. The first zone is the check in/out reservation counter where you will be greeted with chill music, serene lighting as well as self-service mocktails and healthy snacks.

There is a male and female changing and locker room and upon successful reservation, you will be assigned a key and locker where you can securely store personal belongings.

The overall spa experience is magnified with the inclusion of the futuristically designed sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The dark interiors paired with soft lighting promises to put the mind into a state of deep relaxation.

THE KITCHEN TABLE

The culinary journey begins with a full breakfast buffet of delectable Western and Asian dishes to start the day in the W way, serving a wide selection of cuisine types with strong focus on honest flavors combining the best of global cookery with Thai culinary traditions.

Love the cup so much that I honestly wanted to bring a pair back home, but unfortunately, they are not selling these cups 🙁

If you need help in navigating around, or a personal shopper to help you with your shopping list, making bookings at popular restaurants or massage parlour, approach the friendly staff as they provide you with their WHATEVER/WHENEVER service!

So, are you ready to Play, relax, indulge, and revel in an innovative spectrum where fashion meets culture? Welcome to the new playground of jet setters and fashionistas at W BANGKOK!
