During our recent food tasting experience at Mami’s Tamales, we were delighted by a variety of dishes that truly encapsulate the essence of Mexican flavors. The Esquites Vasolote was a fantastic starter, featuring sautéed sweet corn topped with homemade jalapeño aioli, queso fresco, and crispy tortilla, drizzled with a zesty salsa macha.However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Tableside Molcajete of Guacamole & Chips. Watching the guacamole being mixed right at my table added an interactive element to the dining experience. The combination of fresh avocado, tomatoes, coriander, jalapeños, and lime juice created a creamy dip that paired perfectly with the fried corn tortillas.

The Pork Salsa Verde Tamales were another highlight, featuring succulent pork simmered in a vibrant green tomatillo sauce. The flavors were rich and comforting, making it a dish I would crave again. Additionally, the Moo Ping Pork Tamales, smoky and aromatic marinated pork skewers, were grilled to perfection and offered a delightful taste of traditional Mexican street food.

To wash it all down, we indulged in Paleta, refreshing Mexican frozen popsicles that were the perfect treat. The mango verde paired with a frozen lime margarita was a refreshing choice, while the avocado, coconut, and lime with a frozen coconut margarita added a tropical twist.
