Special thanks to Gardens by the bay for the invitation, i finally managed to visit this beautiful garden located just right behind marina bay sands!
was there early to go on a tour around gardens by the bay as most of the other gardens by the bay official bloggers had already went for their tour. Was to busy and didn’t get to attend for the past few events, so this time round, no matter what i must definitely go for it!
It’s really a very good location for taking photos! everything seems soo surreal!
When up to the OCBC Skyway and the view was pretty awesome. im actually quite impressed with the architecture of this bridge. if you notice carefully, the bridge links between 2 super tree and there’s no pillar or support in between!
Here’s some views taken on the skyway!!
Then we proceed to the flower dome, which replicates the cool-dry climate of the Mediterranean-type and semi-arid subtropical regions of the world, allowing for the display of plants from South Africa and Madagascar, Western Australia, the coastal high plains of South America, the west coast of North America, and the Mediterranean Basin.
The flower field display will change from time to time according to the different seasons, festivals and theme ;D heard that it’s gonna be Christmas theme at the end of the year! im sure it gonna look damn nice la!!!
Hey! look at this!! What’s that?!! Cooling only the occupied zones!
The process of thermal stratification is applied to ensure cool air settles at the lower
occupied zone and warm air is allowed to rise and vented out at high levels. This is
enhanced by ground-cooling, which are chilled water pipes cast within the ground slabs.
these looks like the kangaroo paws~
the tree that no fire can burn it down!
the tree full of spikes!!!
Interactive panels to educate the young on our environment. quite interesting!
After visiting the flower dome, we proceed on to the next one just beside it, the cloud forest!
The Cloud Forest conservatory replicates the cool-moist climate typically found in
Tropical Montane regions between 1,000 to 3,500 metres above sea level, such as Mt
Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia, and high elevation areas in South America and Africa.
Upon entering the conservatory, visitors will be greeted by a 35-metre mountain covered
in lush vegetation, complete with a 30-metre waterfall. The mountain is accessible by
lifts, stairs, and two unique walkways, the “Cloud Walk” and “Tree Top Walk”, which link
higher levels of the mountain with lower ones.
AWESOME !!!
After im done with my tour, it’s already 5 plus in the evening! meet up with calvin and his gf before we went over to the supertrees for the ndp celebration to begin!
Cheer leading from Singapore Polytechnic, GUSTO!!
I wonder how it feels to be thrown up so high in the air~!
slowly the crowds grew bigger and bigger!!
One artistic shots from calvin. 😀
FINALLY a self camwhore pic!!
next we have a drum performance by Student Care Services.. Loved those beats! makes everyone wanna go SAMBA~~
New uniform?
Loving the SUN RAYS!!!
We walked over to MBS for our late lunch and early dinner and im really proud of singapore, to have such nice views nowadays~!
everyone at the floating platform in red and white!!
After we are done with our dinner, the fireworks begin! but didn’t managed to get a good spot as we were blocked by the art science museum… but the firework still looks sooo PRETTY!
though out of foucs, but got the bokeh effect~
Marina Bay Sands celebrated the nation birthday with out national flag projected below the sky park!
As i knew there will be night shots to be taken as one of the main highlight at the gardens by the bay was the static red and white lights to celebrate national day, i brought my tripod along and seriously, images taken with a tripod on turns out really nice leh!!!
See! got postcard or award winning photo feel anot?!
SOOO PRETTY LA!!! Im really glad to be dressed in red and white, celebrating national day with everyone this year! usually i don’t go out on national day as to avoid the crowd, but the atmosphere you get over there at marina bay is just so different! 😀
Gotta thanks Gardens by the bay for the invitation! Am so going back there soon with my friends!!! 😀
