Pacific Marketplace celebrates Singapore’s 53rd birthday with the Ivory Raspberry Entremet, an August specialty. Seemingly modest, the cake is a beautiful revelation of raspberry and ivory chocolate mousse, raspberry compote, vanilla sponge and a decadent crunchy layer.

CELEBRATE AT LEVEL33 WITH THEIR SINGAPORE INSPIRED MENU

This National Day, LeVeL33, home to the world’s highest urban craft brewery, has lined up a fantastic spread for National Day 2018. Two dining options are available for those on a look out for great food and the best vantage for the rehearsals and fireworks displays.

The first dining option is LeVeL33’s interpretation of Singapore favourites resulting in the Singapore Platter. Available from 12 July – 9 August the platter is a selection of delectable classics including Chilli Soft Shell Brewery Sliders, Grilled Whole Quail with Ginger Flower. Diners can also relish the special rendition of other hawker classics reinterpreted, such as Spent Grain Cereal Local Mussels and Laksa Prawn Cocktail. Taking inspiration from kaya toast, the Kaya doughnuts will definitely be a crowd favourite. Priced at $53++, this sharing platter is perfect for three.

The sharing style menu includes Hiramasa Kingfish cured with sweet ginger dressing Pandan oil and served raw, Chilli Crab Linguine, Grilled Black Angus Intercostal with sambal sauce, Raw & Smoked Heirloom Tomatoes Burrata, Garden Green Salad and end the meal with rich Coconut Panna Cotta specially made using beer & malt granita and mangosteen. SPICE WORLD HOT POT KICKS OFF AUGUST PROMOTIONS WITH BAIJIU MASTERCLASS

Baijiu, infamously known as Firewater, is distilled from sorghum and rice. Water, sugar and yeast are added to the ingredients and fermented in clay jars buried underground. It is then distilled and aged for anywhere between six months to years, sometimes even up to 50 years. Baijiu is commonly consumed during festivals, weddings, celebrations and business meetings. It is usually served neat in a shot glass and drunk in one gulp. Toasting rituals or Ganbei (cheers) accompany every Baijiu drinking occasion.
