Went for a long holiday break over the Chinese New Year period to Hong Kong to experience the COLD over there and true enough, it was FREEZING cold~ and i was not prepared for it hahaha~ brought alot of clothes there but most not suitable to wear, but that’s also a good excuse for me to do more SHOPPING right?
It was an early morning flight, in need of my coffee fix before departing. Glad to have Starbucks in the airport 😉
Ready to board! 🙂
Breakfast served.
Loved the clear blue sky~ everything just felt so calm and peaceful
and after 4 hours plus of flight, we arrived at Hong Kong International Airport.
Nice chinese new year decoration
we bought the hotel shuttle bus ticket which will drop us at our hotel. Alike to the bus ticket you purchase when you are in Taiwan, you just need to tell them the hotel you stay at and they will let you know which bus will drop you at that area. Very convenient!
about an hour later, we arrived at our hotel. Novotel Hotel Lobby. There was some issue when processing our check-in but till date, am still not sure who’s fault is it. We thought our rooms all come with WiFi and complimentary breakfast, but only to know that breakfast is only for one pax per room and WiFi is chargeable in room :/
Room looks decent and clean, not very spacious but still acceptable.
Nice bottle design 😉
It was already ard 1 pm when we were done checking in to the room and we’re all hungry by then. So~ it’s time to look for a place to have LUNCH!
Love the pastel colored buildings behind me! 😀
So after walking past a restaurant, directly opposite the hotel which look quite promising, we quickly decided to have our DIM SUM lunch there. At the same time to get away from the freezing cold weather out there.. hahaha~
XO Sauce Chee Cheong Fan, surprisingly GOOD!
it’s sooo crowded! must be good~!
Carrot cake
After a full-filling and satisfying dim sum lunch, we headed back to our room to rest awhile before we head out again in the evening. Hong Kong people sure loved FLOWERS~ you can see them like almost everywhere on the street.
My first time taking the tram and the experience was sooo FUN! hahaha~
and yes, it’s crowded too~
the infamous neon light boards of Hong Kong street
Super love this shot taken as i’m the only one in focus! 😀
Dinner was settled at a simple Cha Chan Ting which serve really localised food.
In need of a hot cup of lemon honey tea to warm myself up~
Thick slices of luncheon meat~~ WOOO!!
After dinner, we went to this new mall, Hysan Place located at Causeway Bay, where there’s alot of stores to shop from. Hollister can be found in this mall too! 😀 see the no. of shopping bags i have on hand… AHAHAHAHA~~~
That’s about all for the day! heading back to the hotel to rest and recharge for the second day! 😀
