Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy is introducing a series of tantalizing Asian inspired Christmas treats and pastries that are perfect for family gatherings from 9 November to 1 January 2019.
The Brine-cured Roasted Turkey is a mix of Western and Asian flavours with a choice of either Cranberry-Orange Gravy and Giblet Sauce or Chef’s signature Buah Keluak Gravy. Buah Keluak is a staple ingredient in Peranakan cuisine and is known for its rich nutty aftertaste as this enhances the overall flavour of the turkey.
Look out for 2 new additions : Slow-cooked Salmon with Asian Spices and Lamb Kleftiko. The Slow-cooked Salmon with Asian Spices makes use of spices such as Lemongrass, Lime Leaves, Ginger coriander and other spices and is cooked upon order. Besides the “melt in the mouth” texture, each bite comprises a combination of the salmon’s sweetness with the herbs’ fragrance. The Lamb Kleftiko is a traditional Greek dish which involves the wrapping up of the lamb and slow roasted to enhance the overall flavour. This is combined with a spicy Mango Coriander Yogurt dip. Do not miss the Roasted Pork Belly and Beef Striploin as well.
Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy is introducing 2 new log cakes for Christmas: Raspberry Hazelnut and Gula Melaka Pandan flavours. The Gula Melaka Pandan Log Cake consists of the natural sweetness of Gula Melaka or palm sugar and the fragrance of pandan leaves that will delight the guests. Other traditional Xmas patisseries such as gingerbread houses and Panettones are available too. All Xmas takeaways and patisseries are available for pre-orders at Wave Café and require at least 3 days in advance prior to the collection date.
The hotel is also having an Asian Xmas Buffet from 9 November 2018 to 1 January 2019 at Feast@East Buffet Restaurant. Consisting of a delightful mix of traditional Christmas favourites and South East Asian favourites, the buffet is popular among families with special Senior Citizen and Pioneer Citizen prices. On 31st December, sing along with the notable Singaporean band “Matthew and the Mandarins” who will perform memorable hit songs, including “Singapore Cowboy” by Mr Matthew Tan who received the Asia-Pacific Lifetime Achievement Award at the Canberra Country Blues & Roots Festival for the 1978 country hit.
