Nestled in a heritage building at Purvis Street sits a boutique hotel where most of us will find the name somehow familiar, Adonis Hotel. Located in the hub of interesting culture and historical architecture, you can enjoy local hawker fare and it’s within walking distance to historical sites, theatres and shopping malls.
The lobby is actually at the level 1 restaurant where you will have your meals, like your breakfast, is well-lited with the natural sunlight from the main door which makes it look inviting and cosy 🙂
Upon arriving, we’re given a welcome drink which taste like pineapple and orange juice mixed together.
There’s a total of 19 exclusive rooms and themed-suites at Adonis Hotel Singapore. We got ourselves the Suite Artist ($428++ per night) which is the only themed-suite that comes with a private balcony and outdoor bathtub 🙂
The room wasn’t really big but the high ceiling helps to make the space look bigger.
Something good to note is that the minibar and coffee is complimentary, so just eat and drink whatever and whenever you want.
Oriental knob found on the cupboard.
Love the white marble tiles used in the bathroom which makes it brighter and gives it a luxury touch.
The shower gel, shampoo, moisturiser are all Adonis housebrand.
There is a direct access from the bathroom to the outdoor bathtub where you can catch a glimpse of the skyline.
The thing I love about this room got to be the balcony. It’s spacious and well-decorated with plants and running water. A nice private space where you can relax with a good book and enjoy some coffee or tea.
Making good use of the space we have with candles and enjoying the complimentary beer found in the minibar 🙂 Love it!
Breakfast was served at the Argo Restaurant, the same area where the lobby is. There isn’t a wide selection of food to choose from, like your usual breakfast buffet spread, but there’s a special menu for you to choose from such as pancakes with fruits.
Breads, cereals and croissant are available as well. You can also choose to have latte or cappuccino to go with your breakfast.
In general, our stay with Adonis Hotel Singapore was good and we felt welcomed. It will be a good location for tourist visiting singapore, looking for a boutique hotel without having to burst their budget. Price range starts from $185++ for a Quaint Queen Room to $428++ for a suite. You can easily access the train station to various attractions around marina bay area or take a stroll to the National Museum. There are alot of local delicacies that you can try out around the area as well, such as the Chin Chin Chicken Rice, located along the same stretch of road where Adonis Hotel is.
