A Day Trip to Malaysia for Durians with Diamond Tours

Sponsored Advertorial

2 weeks ago, I went for on a short trip with Diamond Tours to malaysia, hunting for some durians as it’s the durian season right now! and other than just having durian, we went to chocolate factory, bird nest factory and not forgetting shopping and yummy food! Read on as i share my 1 day trip to malaysia with diamond tours!

We gathered at Newton Food Centre at 7:00am before departing for the second link (which is less crowded) to embark on our journey to malaysia 🙂

Getting through the custom was a breeze as we started off earlier and there isn’t much traffic that day too 🙂 After clearing the custom in Malaysia, we got a nice lady tour guide there by the name of Orchid 🙂 she gave really clear introduction about the places we are visiting and the history and backgrounds of places that we pass by along the road.

Breakfast before we start the tour proper. Yes. i’m freaking hungry as we didn’t have any breakfast in the morning before leaving home.

This place looks like a big hawker centre and the look of it tells me that the food here must be damn promising. True enough, i had a satisfying breakfast here!

After breakfast, we went to this chocolate factory where they sell a wide range of chocolates and some flavours that wouldn’t have crossed your mind.

Finally a selfie hahaha~

OH~ and i’m not alone! i brought my mum along too 😉

Next we were brought to a shopping mall which from what i was told, alot of singaporeans came here to shop.

There’s a mid autumn fair ongoing with stalls selling mooncakes and lanterns… so colorful!

By noon, we went for the main highlight of the trip, the durian farm for durians~~~

Oh~ and did i mention that this is a durian buffet? you can eat ALL YOU WANT~!!!

I supposed this is the durian tree… :X

Just be prepared that there’s alot of houseflies there…

There’s fried bee hoon and curry chicken for everyone too.. 🙂

Mangosteens available to remove the heatiness from eating durian…

After satisfying our durian crave, and packing some back to singapore (yes you can pack durian back but at your own expenses, not included in the tour package) we went to grab some local goodies.

Happy Shopping! 😛

Next, we visited this noodle making factory which is located just around the corner.

If you’ve been following me on my INSTAGRAM (@method86), you’ll see me cooking with these noodles that we bought back 🙂

We visited the bird nest factory, which is our last stop before we proceed for dinner.

and check out the transformation!!!

and i ordered a bowl to pamper myself 😛

these are real bird nest, not those jelly or agar agar ah~

It’s dinner time at this restaurant which i have no images of the food as we are eating in a table of ten and i didn’t want them to wait for me to take photos before they can start eating… but overall food was okay for me 😉

That marks the end of my 1 day durian trip to malaysia with Diamond Tours.

Thanks Diamond Tours!!!
